Resource Conflict - PCI network controller slot 03 and 04
I had this problem for almost a year. One day I decided to put it back t factory default, it work for a week and then the Error message pop again at boot. I installed windows 7 CR and after a week of working fine, same thing happen. I open my laptop, check everything, clean it, and nothing. Until I found the by pressing really hard on the slot where the conflict was, it work 9 out of 10 times I started my laptop. On my Acer the Slot 3 Conflict is where the memory card reader is, or atleast that is what I though. After taking my laptop to an IT Tech, he discovered that the Slot 3 was right next to the wireless network card, and by pressing the area reallu hard the computer will start 95% of the time. But when I say really hard, I mean really hard, as a matter of fact, while trying we even crack the bottom case.
The solution was one of two options:
1. Acer motherboard in certain models, it was defected, and it was known within the puclic, prompting the same Error Conflict that I have, so we would have to get a new Motherboard ($120) or
2. Take all the OS out of the computer, and Install an Linux OS like (Ubuntu-free) you might ask yourself why?
Because Ubuntu doesn't depend on the hardware to function. Windows does. Ubuntu is a self dependable OS, Unlike Windows.
#2 was my solution, it's been alamost 6 months and I never had the probelm again.
