What is a "Subsidy Unlock Code"?
A "Subsidy Unlock Code" is a code that is unique to your phone. The code is assigned by the original service provider the phone was manufactured for so that it cannot be taken to another carrier for activation without their permission.

I have already contacted Motorola and they said that I need to go to T-Mobile. T-Mobile said I had to have an account with them, which I don't. They did tell me that if I knew someone with an account who would call and give my IMEI number, they would give the subsidy code.
