Stopped working suddenly after 18 months daily use

When power is connected to monitor green power LED flashes. Power switch does nothing. Monitor does not work [whether or not connected to computer]. There is no reference in my user manual to the significance of the flashing green led. Is it a faulty backlight and if so how can I repair?

Look carefully at the large capacitors to see if they're bulged on top if so replace them. Capacitors fail often in LCD monitors and are a cheap fix. It works about 50% of the time. and it's cheap enough to try.

Unfortunately the inverter board is built in to the power supply so it's a case of replacing the whole power supply - manufactured by Delta Electronics, model ADP-40AF.

It appears either the inverter supply board or the main video board have failed. First replace the inverter board, if not fixed, replace the video board. Mike

How do i factory reset my NEC LCD1712 Monitor?

Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.
Good luck.

Flashing green light on the circuit board. No power at all

I suggest it is the mother board or the power supply. Go to the Dell website on a friend's PC and download PDF manuals pertaining to your model. The battery may have enough power to light an LED.

If you know how to open it up and get to the power supply you will find three capacitors 2-820uf and 1-330 @ 25vdc 105o.they will have puffed up tops replace them. FYI the monitor has a 3 year warranty.

Sir Help me with my Compaq monitor MV520 it won't turn the power led flashing orange to green continously

it could be th epower supply and it could be the monitor.
power ON button should not flash orange regardless what you do. it should stay green. then orange. not orange to green to orange.
try the monitor on another PC if you can fine one.
the other thing is are the 2 monitor similar (CRT to CRT and LCD to LCD), you can't mix the the two, they will work but need different video driver to function correctly.

Flashing Green Light on mx705 monitor

If the HP has onboard video but you have an add-on video card, remove the add-on and connect the monitor to the onboard vid. If it works you have a bad add-on video card. If it doesn't or you are already running on on-board video hook the mx705 up to a compatible HP. The older PB may be TOO old to handle it or not hve the correct drivers.
