Hello sir, fuel line routing for ryobi, poulan trimmers, looking at machine from left side, front green line from tank to bottom of port on primmer bulb. rear line from tank which has filter inserted through tank with small white ring pushed up aginst tank & filter fittings, goes to port at bottom of carburetor.top line from primmer bulbgoes to top port of carburetor. that is the way thay go on.it is important to make sure you have the same fuel line I.D.3/32 and O.D.3/16 are very important! also if old line dissolved it will get in carb. and clog ports & small screen inside.clean inside of carb. with carb. cleaner & air pressure. to get your parts and numbers ,go to mtdparts.arinet.com, parts,791-683398,fuel line assembly, this is for most fuel line trimmers~~~hope this helps, don't forget the 4 thumbs up,any comments welcome, thank you. ``

SOURCE: Fuel and carburretor problems with Ryobi Weed Hornet MkII

Started at the very beginning (of the fuel line) which is a very good place to start. Traced it all the way back to the end (which is a good place to finish) ..... cleaned everything out............including the cap on the fuel tank (took it apart and found a sponge in the top that needed cleaning) and lo and behold.............petrol made its way from the tank to the bit that goes "vroom vroom" and it ''vroomed'' to its hearts content

SOURCE: Question about Roybi weed eater's line length.

the standard line length is around 3-4". you can leave it as long as you want, provided it does not bog the engine down, or bog down when cutting plants.

however plastic line breakage is typical of older line. it gets very brittle. Also typical of hitting rocks, gravel, cement, asphault, ground, etc.

SOURCE: replacing fuel lines on ryobi weed eater, need

This is an ongoing issue for users, and rightfully so. Small diameter line out of fuel tank (has filter in-tank on end) connects to the side of the carburetor that has the fuel pump....that is the cover without the hole in it. Other larger diameter fuel line out of tank connects to the longer nipple on the external purge/primer bulb. The bulb "pulls" fresh fuel from the fuel tank to the carb and then out of the carb to itself, where it then pushes any air/old fuel back into the fuel tank. The remaining larger diameter fuel line in this setup goes from the metering chamber (has cover with writing on it and a vent-hole) side of the carburetor to the smaller nipple on the purge/primer bulb. Years ago on 2-stroke trimmers, primers were not even used,...you choked the carb with a slide lever and gravity let fuel enter the carb from above...a few pulls, a "pop"...slide it off of choke and away you went.
If the purge/primer bulb is on top of the carb...small line from carb body to small hole in tank with filter. Larger diameter line goes from the bulb on the fuel pump side of the carb to the larger hole in the fuel tank where the line is held in place with a nylon nipple connector that keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

I have Ryobi Weed Hornet Model RWH1100A MKIII and the primer bulb has disintegrated. I'm told spare parts are not available as this model is not made any more. Is there any way I can bypass the pr

The primer only pulls fuel from the carb, into the bulb and dumps back to tank, this is a starting aid so there is always fresh fuel in the carb, you can just blank of the pipe from the carb to the primer, this will just turn it into a standaed non primer carb, if it starts ok just useing the hoke then leave that way

I have a 26cc ryobi weed trimmer--primer bulb will not draw fuel, but will draw fuel when I loosen the 2 screws that hold down the bulb

Possible issues:
1. Primer bulb or bottom assembly has crack or hole in it (needs replacing). See ebay for about $6.00
2. Fuel lines are not sealing to the primer nipples properly (cut line and re-attach if you have sufficient line available) otherwise; replace.
3. You may be somehow kinking the fuel lines when you clip it back in place due to fuel lines too short
My bet: #1 or #2. Good luck!

Sounds like it has a fuel blockage. Three things to check are;Inspect the fuel-filter (inside the tank) for contaminants. Inspect fuel lines for cracks. Inspect carby for oil residue (blocking the jet). Hope this helps

Hi, I tried to start my ryobi scrub hornet and found that all the fuel lines have disintegrated and likewise the primer bulb. So I bought those parts and tried installing the fuel lines. Not knowing how...

The primer bulb is attached to the carburetor by a flange with 2 screws...the "center" port goes inside the carb. The upper port on the carburetor is a return line to the gas tank. The lower port is where the supply line is connected - this line goes into the tank and has a filter attached to the end.

I hope this helps you. Please let me know if it does or doesn't.
