Hello,

I would check the connection on the back of your pc making sure the keyboard is pluggged in correctly. (If it is a usb connection, change to another port) If after checking the plug and it is correct, you may need to replace the keyboard all together.

Good Luck

Washer won't stay running error code DS

I am wondering if your error code is DS and not D5, which would indicate problems with the door lock assembly communicating with the control board. Essentially, the control board does not believe the door is closed and/or locked, so it shuts down the machine.

Where is the number lock key on the dell inspiron im5030

there is a large hole in the keypad user manual for the keypad on your laptop almost as if there is no number lock installed
the closest that I can get on the net is that the function key adds extra keys to the board
however with out a board to practice on that is not much use
next suggestion is to take the laptop to a dell service agent( maybe a shop that retails dell products ) and see if there is anyone there with information on the keyboard that can show you how to get the number lock to operate
It has to be on the board probably in the layers of the function key and with help it will be revealed
on a normal board the number lock has a small square box with 1in it
so that symbol appearing when function is used may be the key you want

My laptop screen is black and caps lock and scroll key are flashing

That is a security configuration on HP Laptops, depending on the way they blink is the problem your machine has.

Here is the web page where this info is posted, in case you need more info, hope this helps you to determain.

This document pertains to HP Notebook PCs with the HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) beginning in late-2008. On startup, you may see a blank screen. If the diagnostic utilities detect a specific problem with hardware components, the fan turns on, but the screen remains blank. To help identify the cause of the problem, various LED lights on the keyboard blink a series of codes. The diagnostic utilities use the LEDs near the Num Lock or Caps Lock keys to blink a series of error codes. At the end of the series the blinking stops. The pattern of blinks will occur any time you attempt to start the computer until the error is resolved. Battery power LED blinks The Battery power LED indicates the condition of the power supply. When starting the computer, or when the computer is in operation, use the chart to identify the power condition. Battery Power LED Component Tested Error Condition Battery power LED off, and Caps Lock/Num Lock off Battery or AC Adapter AC adapter not connected or failure

Battery low charge or failure Battery power LED blinking Battery Insufficient charge on the battery When new computer is used for first time, the white LED light for the AC power connector blinks. Battery is still in "Shipping Mode", the light continues to blink even when AC power is connected.

To resolve, turn off notebook, connect AC power and allow battery to charge for at least 30 minutes, then start computer. LEDs near Caps Lock and Number Lock keys blink when starting notebook The LED lights near the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys will blink if an error is detected during the start up process. The LEDs will blink a number of times in a sequence and then stop. The number of blinks in the sequence indicates what component caused an error when it was being tested during start up. If the LEDs stop blinking and the computer does not start, you can press the power button again to repeat the tests. Count the number of blinks, and use the chart to identify the error condition. Knowing the number of blinks is helpful when you contact an HP support agent for technical help. On My Dv5-1125nr both the caps lock and num lock keeps blinking when i turn it on. It's wont boot at all. What kind of hardware problem is this?

First remove the battery and power cord for about a minute. Then plug back in and see if that helps. Otherwise please read the following:

Samsung washer machine error code dE

DE indicates a door lock error.

Either the door lock, wiring or main control board can cause this fault. The door lock is relatively inexpensive so it would be worth trying a new door lock first.

Check the wiring between the door lock and the control board. If a new door lock doesn't fix it and the wiring is ok you are only left with the control board.

Hope this helps.

My keyboard stopped working after my dad threw a pillow on it absent mindedly, and it messed with my normal keyboard now it just doesn't work at all, its really annoying, i tried new batteries,...

Hi supercrapnst ,

Please follow the below steps..:)
  1. Please make sure that you get your keyboard replaced , in case it's still under warranty , hopefully the supplier would give you a direct replacement.
  2. Check if the keyboard works when connected to your friend's pc , so that you are confirmed that it's not just your pc that is having an issue with the keyboard.
  3. Check if there is any lock key function on the keyboard which locks all the keys together so that you unlock them again with the relevant command , please refer to the manual or the icons on your keyboard , as there are some keyboards which provide this option.
  4. Check the device manger settings, via right clicking on my computer icon --> properties --> hardware --> device manager and see if the keyboard is detected as working properly , if there is an error , you need to reinstall the key board driver and hopefully it will work.

Hope this helps ..:)

My laptops screen will not turn on and the lock with 9 keeps blinking. what is wrong with it??

What you saw regarding the lock with 9 is the num lock key. next to that is the Caps Lock key and next to it is the Scroll Lock key. Those are called Lock LEDs. If the status of the light is Flash-On-On then that represents system board error. Next step is reseating the processor, but requires a certified technician to do it, and if it still fails you need to replace system board or the processor of the computer.

When i start my 300pl desk top system. when i

Hello my friend. That error message has nothing to do with the actual keyboard. The POST/BIOS is reading a single port bit in the system boards keyboard controller and detecting this bit as being shorted to ground. On some systems there is a keylock on the front of the case that allows you to "lock" the keyboard for security reasons. It is this lock that is being detected. On a system without a keylock, this error can be caused by one of the front panel wires being placed on the wrong pin on the system board. Or by something shorting out the keylock pin on the system board, or a hardware failure in the keyboard controller, or using the wrong version of BIOS.So make sure if your computer has a lock key/button or something on the case that locks the keyboard. Also you can load default bios settings by hitting Del while you boot if you have change anything in the bios.
