Just click on your username,

On this page, I would like you to click on the red English, to the left of the PDF icon, and to the left of the heading - Owners Manual

A small window will come up on the right. Make sure there is a green dot in the small circle, to the left of - Open with.
Plus, to the right in the box, it states - Adobe Reader (default)

If not click in the small circle to the left of Open with.
(And use the down arrow on the right side of the box. Click on Adobe Reader, if it is not in the box)

Now go to the bottom, and click on OK.

This is a PDF file. The computer you are using now has Adobe Reader on it, which uses PDF files.
After you click on OK, it may take up to 30 seconds before you see the first page come up.

In the Bookmarks menu to the left, click on - Connecting the display.
Now use the Down Arrow at the top of the PDF file, and go to Page 9.

(Using the page number box at the top of the PDF file. The actual manual page number is 8 )

Here you are shown the 3 cables.

AC-IN is the power cord.

D-SUB is a VGA connector. Should be Blue in color.
Example of a VGA connector, and VGA cable,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_connector

VGA is Analog.
A computer puts out a digital signal, but has to be converted to Analog, for a VGA monitor.

This actually slows the graphics process down.

DVI-D:
Digital Visual Interface.

This is for a monitor that uses a digital signal, and is not a VGA analog monitor. Graphics are best using DVI.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface

There are different types of DVI connectors, and the function for them.
1) DVI-I single link
2) DVI-I dual link
3) DVI-D single link
4) DVI-D dual link
5) DVI-A

The most common types today will be DVI-I single link, and dual link.

(Observe the chart showing the various connectors, under the bold subheading - Connectors )

If you have a DVI connection on the back of your computer, it is BEST to use a DVI cable from the monitor, and connect to it.
