SOURCE: ryobi bt 3000 table saw belt installation diagram

The BT3000 actually has TWO v-belts! Here's a link at the end of this solution to an exploded diagram. Basically you have a major disassembly, but it really isnt that complicated.

More great info on the BT3000 is available from the web site http://bt3000.com/

I have a BT3100 saw, and it is a good tool, but does require attention in maintenance procedures, but Ryobi did outline the necessary steps in their manuals. The above website also has the owner manual if you need one.

  1. Unplug saw
  2. Remove the blade
  3. Lower mechanism all the way to the bottom
  4. Flip over saw and lay on it's top
  5. Remove the blade guard panel opposite the motor
  6. Unbolt the motor assembly and remove the belt cover
  7. Replace the broken belts
  8. Re-assemble (be careful not to cross-thread the bolts in the aluminum housings!)

SOURCE: i need the wiring diagram for my 10 table saw

Im guessing ... the motor is 110 volt AC (AC dont care if it is coming or going) ... find the two terminals in the motor and hook the wires back up. If it HAPPENS to be incorrect, the saw will run poorly or the overload will trip.

I wouldnt be afraid to use this method on my craftsman table saw.

SOURCE: My very old Craftsman 10"

Go to searspartsdirect.com and put in your model number. Look at the motor and wiring section. Look at item 16. The motor overload protector. (probably your reset button) WIth saw unplugged, unwire one sid of this switch and test with an ohm meter. You should read through the switch. If it is open then that's why the saw doesn't work. Many of this type of oveload requires quite a push to reset as you're flexing a klixon disc back to make contact. If is open and you can't reset, it's available there although a bit high priced.

WHEN I USED OLD TABLE SAW WITH UNGROUNDED POWER CORD. I ALSO HAD JIG SAW PLUGGED INTO SAME OUTLET. wHEN I LAID THE JIG SAW ON THE TABLE SAW IT SPARKED AND THE MOTOR ON THE POWER SAW DOESNT WORK. NEX

If you're lucky, there's a circuit breaker built into the table saw motor and a little red button somewhere on the motor to reset it.

When you re-wire it. know that the cord should have a black wire (hot), a white wire (neutral), and a green wire (ground).
When you wire the power cord to the switch, the black wire should be the one that goes directly to the switch contacts and gets disconnected when you turn off the switch. The white wire goes through the rest of the system up to the motor. The green wire grounds out the metal parts that you might touch.

If you have to replace the motor, get a 3450 rpm to 3600 rpm motor. Harbor Freight has one for about $140 before any discount.
I recommend at least 1.5 HP

Wire diagram for craftsman 10" table saw

Hi there.
Prior to plug it try this. From your 3 prong grounded plug trace it up to your saw were you should have a black and a white from the same wire's end.Now the two whites are probably from the reset that you haven't replaced?Write back to let me know if this is right and I'll proceed.

Blade is not square to table of 10" cabnet saw is there an an adjustment somewhere

The adjustment for the Delta cabinet saw (Assuming you mean the Unisaw model) is made by loosening the four bolts that hold the cast iron table to the cabinet and adjusting the table to square it to the blade. Make sure you retighten them a little at a time and working on opposite corners as you go so that you tighten them all evenly.
The only adjustments for the blade are the stops associated with the tilt of the arbor. While you have the top loose, it's a good opportunity to clean up the inside of the saw.

Sounds like you may have overheated the motor. I'm surprised the overload on the motor didn't trip first. With this overheating, the windings in the motor have basically shorted out to ground. This is why your breaker is tripping. Rewinding the motor is no longer the option these days. You can try going online to www.searspartsdirect.com

New saw purchace

Two main problems will be space (hence your plan for a rolling cabinet) and rust. Get a contractor style saw (which has the motor under the table instead of hanging off the back) and has an aluminum table (instead of cast iron). Unless you aren't going to put cars in your garage anymore, I wouldn't worry about being able to cut sheet goods on the table saw. There are simple solutions using saw horses, clamping a guide board on the sheet and using a circular saw that are much more flexible and surprisingly accurate. This takes up a lot less space and is easier to control than doing this on a table saw.
