Question about Philips DVP642 DVD Player
When I put a disc in I can
hear it spin, then it begins to click twice (like something isn't connecting
or catching) and then it tells me 'no disc'. Do you have any idea what
this might be and if it can be fixed and is worth it to have it done.
It was not an expensive player (90$) but I hate it when something
doesn't work and if it can be repaired I would like to do so. We do use

Mostly laser unit get defective in same model
1.check any dust meterial inside of spindle motor-or replce with new one
2..check&replce flex foil conector cable
3.check&replce flash ram on mpeg pcb

On the surface, there could possibly be two (2) issues:
Should the cleaning be not corrective, then repairs would necessitate replacement of some components. At this point, you may have to reconsider your options as cost of repair and downtime may no longer justify service.
