Most tripods have a standard screw on top. This allows users to mix&match tripods and heads. Thus, just about any head should fit your tripod. If you're not sure, take your tripod with you to a good camera shop and see if any of their heads fit. If one fits, it's a pretty good bet that the others will as well.
The choice of the type of head (pan-head or ball-joint), its weight, cost, and other factors are, of course, up to you.
