SOURCE: Washing Machine Will not Spin

Howdy!
I just finished completely disassmbling my machine for the exact same reason you mentioned. And I mean completely. Not a screw still in place. It took 4 hours.
Turns out in my case that electrolysis is the problem.
What I mean by this is that behind the inner drum is a three pronged heavy metal piece made from galvanized steel which attaches to the inner drum by 6 large screws. Coming out of the center of this is a post which comes through the plastic drum housing into the back of the machine and hooks to the assembly your belt runs on. (This wheel for the belt looks a bit like a tire wheel well but thinner.)
What the problem is for me is that the piece inside that attaches to the drum (the galvanized steel one) has completely corroded from electrolysis and broken. All three prongs have completely broken off making it impossible for the drum to turn. I am a little irritated with GE at the moment because had they used an appropriate metal, knowing it would be constantly bathed by the water from the laundry loads, I would not be in this predicament. I am a little disturbed that a 15 lb metal part has broken before the rubber belt even wore out!
I mysel am on here right now trying to find the exact name of this part and possibly a part number so I can order it and replace it. My basement is currently a compete mess from this project and I have laundry waiting to be done.
I am also looking to see if maybe this just might be a recall situation where we can get some help with getting the part due to what I feel is faulty manufacturing.
Should I come up with any of these answers I will come back on here and share them with you.
In the meantime, unless you have the appropriate tools, plenty of time and plenty of patience, I don't suggest tearing into your machine like I have. It may be worth calling a appliance repair place for you.
If you want to be certain that this is in fact the same problem with your washer, open your machine and see if you can freely move the drum around by pushing on it. If it isn't a good solid middle of the machine spin and has play in it wear you can lift the drum a bit in any direction, we have the same problem.
Just from your description, I am betting we do.
I hope this is helpful, and I'll let you know what I find out!

SOURCE: GE Adora Front Load Washing Machine Problem

I had a similar problem...with the added issue of the door not locking at all. I cleaned the filter and all is well. However, it took me hours to find the 3 screws everyone was talking about The screws are at the very bottom of the washer, under the lip, facing front. If your machine sits on a pedestal drawer like mine, they are located between the machine and the pedestal. I hope these pics save someone a little time...

What does error code e54 mean

You have not specified Tumble dryer model so I can not say for certain that my answer is correct. Fault codes can sometimes vary depending on the platforms appliances because today some manufacturers release new models twice a year and thay have the absolutlly right to make changes and improve the efficiency of new appliances (also change fault codes).

E54 - means the motor is inoperational.
Could be:
  • Excessive wash load.
  • Voltage too low.
  • Motor/transmission system inoperative.

Error code e54

TEST this steps and fix it. This error code is E54 which is something to do with the motor. What you can try first is pull machine out and take off the back panel. From there you will see the motor at the bottom. Unplug the wiring block from it and start the machine again.

I have a Lg WM2277HW front load washer. I replaced P/N 6501KW2002 (hall sensor), unfortunately still recieving error code LE. I even ran normal wash cycle no spin and 3 rinse and spins w/ no spin to...

Make sure hall sensor is snapped in to correct location and is secure. Take a look at repair videos from repairclinic.com or appliancepartspros.com for guidance. And the error code is "LE" for sure not "tE" which is sometimes confused between the two.

My washer doesnt spin at all on different settings.it is a kenmore super cap. 3.5 quiet tumle action washer front loading type, model nos. missing

Hello there and welcome to fixya
there are several things that you will need to check first ok please verrify the following
It doesn't pump or spin
If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:
If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.
If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
It pumps, but doesn't spin
If your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these:
The lid switch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
The motor coupler may be broken. Many Whirlpool®-manufactured washers use a small, relatively inexpensive motor coupling. It's plastic and rubber and is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. You may need to replace it.
A belt may be broken. Many washing machines have one or two belts. If a belt is broken or badly worn, you need to replace it with a genuine belt from the manufacturer. (Some washing machine belts are designed with special characteristics not found in automotive belts.)
The clutch may be worn. If your washer is a GE, it may use a clutch to come up to the proper spin speed. As the clutch wears out, it may prevent the unit from spinning well or at all. If the clutch is worn, you need to replace it. For this job, you probably want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician.
The drive motor may be defective. Many washer brands use a reversing motor. For agitation the motor runs in one direction, for spinning and draining, the other. It's possible for a motor to burn out in one direction and continue to operate in the other. If this happens, you need to replace the entire motor.
The transmission may not be shifting properly. Older washers produced by Whirlpool® have a transmission with an electro-mechanical shifter. If the shifter becomes even partially defective, the unit may drain the water but not spin. This is a complex system, if your washer has a shifter problem, you may want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician to repair it.
The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. Call a qualified appliance repair technician.
It spins only with the lid closed
For safety, washing machines are made so that they spin only with the lid closed. The lid switch prevents the spinning action when the lid is up.
