Getting disconnected while multi player games

We have been on the phone for the last week with xbox with 7 reference # trying to get a repair order.. Keeps getting discconnected while playing multi player on line for the last month. We have done everything they asked us to do from disconnectiong from router to modem and going as far as wireless. Was told from xbox to bring the machine into gamestop or best buy for them to hook up to internet. Both stores do not check xbox connections. We have contacted internet provider, modem provider and router and everything is working fine and is compatible to the xbox. What can be the problem????

Are you using too much bandwidth? Try disconnecting all other internet sources. Then try it. Our internet phone would be disturbed if we were using any bandwith

Either the AV cords are bad or the AV connection itself is bad. Try replacing the cords first. If this doesn't fix the problem, then you will need to contact Microsoft and ask about a repair order.

Xbox 360, certain game no sound

If your Xbox 360 does not have display you need to stop the heat getting to the chips. You can actually do this yourself as many have in this forum using the recommended Xbox 360 Repair guide.

Basically the guide will show you how to stop the heat build up with videos and household items, of course if you are in doubt send it in.

It has a preview video on the website.

Or of course you can send it in to have it fixed.

Xbox360 has 3 red lights

Its when the solder overheats and disconnects a wire in the xbox. If you have bought it within the last year, you can return or swap for new wherever you bought it. If not you will most likely have to send it off to xbox repairs.

Sound problem with multi players

Red ring is not the only problem with Microsoft Xbox 360. This amazing device also has some more common problems like Audio but no video problem, disc read error etc. Microsoft is providing extended warranty only for red ring problem. Means you will have to spend some money to get this problem repaired also if you plan to send your xbox to Microsoft, you will have to wait for 3-4 weeks to get back your favourite Xbox. There is one more option in the form of DIY guide, this guide explains solving No Video problem with step by step instruction, so any novice can fix this problem.

Xbox 360-Unreadable Disc

Hi...
Get the drawer to open and disconnect the power so the draw stays open. Get a can of Dust-off ( compressed CO2) at staples or radio shack.

Shoot a couple streams of CO2 into the unit from the drawer opening.

Reconnect power and try a game. Also try a DVD cleaning disc. Philips and Memorex make them

Xbox 360 4 red lights even tho av lead is in

google for 'XBOX red ring of death',
it usually refers to poor cooling design on the xbox360,
the unit overheats, and has sometimes melted the solder on the gpu,
MS have a free recall for the heat fault up to 3 years from purchase, get the phone number from the xbox live website and get it repaired.

I have 3 sons, 3 xbox360s, and they have been returned to MS 7 times

Xbox doesnt read disks

If you have a Hard Disk Drive or Memory attached to the console, turn the console off and remove the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) unit and any attached Memory Unit (MU), then switch on your console and try the disc again. If this seems to resolve the issue, turn off your console, attach the HDD and MU again, and then delete any saved games for the game that is causing problems.
Note If it is possible to do so, save the games to a separate MU.
To find out how to remove and connect the Hard Disk Drive from your console, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
