According to Intel's website, if they don't have a driver posted on their website for your product, then you can use the Windows XP driver for you graphics card.
Good luck!

I want to intel D845GVAD2 this model number chipset

Here is a link to the driver (from the intel web site)
I assumed this is for a Win XP computer; If you are using something older than win XP. there is a driver for Win 98 and Win 2K.
If you are trying a newer version of windows, there may be an issue, since intel does not offer support for Vista or Windows 7 for this chipset (it is pretty old).
That being said, there may be a basic driver for this chipset in Windows, or you could always add a graphics card to gain better functionality.
I hope that helps, and good luck!

How can I change the resolution from 1280 x 800? This is the highest possible according to the display setttings. I have removed the generic pNp monitor. I am running Vista Business. The display adapter is...

Graphics Unable to use the native resolution, such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050 and 1440x900 circuit388.gif Symptom(s):
On some displays, users may be unable to use the native resolution when using Intel® chipset graphics. Resolutions such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050, and 1440x900 are not available in graphics properties.

Cause:
The display's EDID is not read properly when connected to some digital flat panel displays. Display devices describe its capabilities by sending EDID (Extended Display Information Data) to the computer.

Solution:
Intel has released a graphics driver to specifically address this issue; however, there may be side effects to this solution such as longer than normal resume times from standby. This solution will only work with external displays such as DFP displays connected to the computer's VGA port. This driver is not designed to address issues with a notebook's built-in display (Local Flat Panel) or with TV’s connected to the system. This driver is provided as is. Intel has not tested, and does not guarantee, the operation of the driver for this purpose.

Vista display drivers for 845 gvsr does not support from original mother board CD

hello visioncom468,
I just realized that the 845 graphics chip does not have internal DX9 support there are no
Vista drivers for it. The 945 graphics is the first chip that Intel made Vista drivers for.

Here is the Intel Driver Update Utility. I would run this first to get more info. This utility can only be accessed using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape browsers.
.
You can try the XP drivers. I dont' really know if they will work.
You can also follow this link and read more about what Intel has to say about it.
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-029325.htm
Here are all the drivers from Intel. Please not that for both 32 and 64 bit downloads, there are ONLY a BIOS update, Board ID tool, and a manual.
Vista 32-bit

And Vista 64-bit

No Video

Hi Keith, the Intel D845GVAD2 board uses an integrated graphics card for video & also uses your system memory to function.
Suggest, you remove the system memory & clean the contacts with alcohol. (Allow time for the alcohol to dry). Blow the memory slots out with canned air to remove any dust build up. Reseat your memory & boot the system. (No display)?
From your description it sounds like the integrated graphics controller may be bad. The only way to test this would be to add a PCI video card to the system.
The board’s bios uses auto detect. If you add a PCI graphics card to the system the bios should auto detect the PCI video card & load display.
There is a chance that the controller is too damaged & the bios will not see the PCI graphics add in card. In this case the board would be considered bad. If you have a local computer shop or know of someone who may (have a known to be good) PCI video card, you can ask to borrow it & test your system for video display.
Here is a link to an inexpensive PCI card:

Intel's web site, downloads for the board D845GVAD2:

Good luck Keith!

Intel 845 display driver for windows vista

The intel 845GV graphics driver is not available for Windows Vista. Try installing one of the drivers from the following link for XP professional. This is the latest version of the driver. If this does not work properly, you may have to purchase a pci video card to use in your system.
