Re: does not turn on

The blinking led or light is an indication that the sweep or horizontal sweep circuits not working or giving the power supply as well as the microprocessor the requird pulse to start up properly. Of course this problem could be anything from a contaminated printed circuit board, a cold solder connection or a part falure. unfortanatly, this is a solid state sewt and all parts are soldered into place so there are no user serviceable parts inside this set. your better off calling in a pro as there is alot of hi voltage inside this set . good luck

I have a Philips 50 DLP HDTV MICRO DSPL and I figured the lamp was about to go out because after you would watch tv for about an hour and a half the picture would begin to flicker so I replaced the lamp...

A couple of things to check here. When you replace a lamp some TVs require you to reset the lamp hours meter in the settings in the menu (More common in projectors). If you do not do that then it will only run so many hours before shutting off again. If it is that, you should be able to turn it off and have enough time on the screen to reset that. If that is not the case then you should look into replacing your power supply board.

Toshiba HD ready TV ct 90158 makes high pitched sound

A high pitch sound can be a capacitor losing power it would sound a bit like a fire work. most have back up on the board but it put more pressure on them the more times you use the tv. would check them and replace. all of them can be 5 in a row in some models.

I have a samsung hcn4727w tv and ive had it for five or 6 yrs and have never had a problem til now. about 3 months ago i had lotsa red on my screen. it went away after about 2 weeks. then about a month ago...

i am sorry to say but you will certainly need a service tech to research this could be a defective bias or output transistor, a board problem at the end of your lamp. but i have went to the screen and bias controls and fixed the problem.all tv's are different so i cannot tell you exactly where yours are located seeing that some are in the back and some are in the front, but when you find it, it will be 6 small black turn knobs and you must turn them very slowly to your left until the color evens out. this would mean that you have a lamp problem and it will definitely need servicing.

We have a samsung DLP TV with various types of problems. This tv is approx 5 yrs old. Picture will freeze, sound will stop. We have unplugged and then plug back in which seems to help but is thi the way to...

There is at least one more part in the TV that needs to be replaced, perhaps more. To know for sure which part(s) you would want a repair tech to take a look at it so you're not buying parts you don't need; especially since parts for today's TVs aren't cheap. You can purchase a new 42" LCD from starting at $578, so you really want to think hard before putting another few hundred or more into what you have.

Blue wide streaks in my 42" Sony TV model KDFE42A10.

I have the same TV and the same problem and it's also just over 2 years old (bought it June 2006) when the problem started. Every day, I saw the blue streak cover more of the tv, now 6 months later, it has all turned to green and the entire tv has a green tint. It looks like I am watching tv in murky green water.
I am lucky that I purchased the additional warranty on the tv and finally got around to calling them. I hate to tell you this, but they told me that the optical light has gone up and they are replacing the tv.

TV auto shut off-power indicator light blinking-won't turn back on

You could have gotten an electrical surge that put your set into a shutdown condition and unplugging the set and letting the Microprocessor reset will fix this problem if it dosent blow out the main power regulator as you still or might I say have a regulator IC problem. IF THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS AGAIN MORE THEN A FEW TIMES WITHIN A SMALL TIME FRAME I WOULD HAVE THE SET LOOKED AT BEFORE THE REGULAOR BLOWS SOMETHING OUT!!!!
