I need a power cord with foot pedal for a montgomery ward sewing machine model UHT J 1980? Anybody have any ideas. Could also use a manual

Don't know if problem is resolved, but I put a Mont Ward sewing machine model # UHT 1460 on Washington DC Craigslist a few moments ago. Could not fix it, so am selling it for parts (something is wrong with bobbin assembly and I give up!!). If you just want the power cord and foot contact me through there and I will detach it and mail it to you--the postage shouldn't be too much for just those parts.

Hi just got my wife a singer 4423 used it for the fist time and while sewing some times it gets noisy and vibrate. Checked the needle and all seems fine. It don't seem as smoth as I would like it to...

MSRP on that machine is $269.99.
Smooth machines are probably going to start around $400.
Do yourself a favor. Go to a local sewing machine dealer so you can try out the machine before you buy it. Also, take advantage of classes and knowledge of your dealer. You can spend $600 online and still get a loud, shakey machine. Or, go to a sewing machine dealer, try the machine and probably pay about $400. Check out the Husqvarna Viking Emerald 116, MSRP of $399.

O.comI'm having a couple of problems: it seems like the feed dogs need to be adjusted because I need to gently pull the fabric through, from the back, otherwise the fabric won't advance & I...

if you have a manual check where your feed dog knob is, push the knob in the opposite direction,,if that doesn't help then something may be wrong with the feed dogs,,you should be able to see the feed dogs in the needle plate area & to feel them with your fingers.
you may need to have the machine serviced at a sewing shop

I have a Kenmore sewing machine model # 385 1249380, but don't have the owners manual. Can you help me? Thank You, Laura

You can buy the paper manual here for $9.95 plus shipping: http://www.sewconsult.com/kenmore/385%20manuals/kenmore_385_source_manuals.htm
Or you can buy a printable PDF download here for $10: http://www.sewingmanuals.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Kenmore_385.htm
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the manual for your model can be found online for free.

Denim buster singer #1506 where can I get a manual & parts

You do not have a Singer, you have a Babylock. You can try some places online, such as www.sewingpartsonline.com or Babylock themselves. It looks pretty standard, #15 bobbins etc. I don't know what parts you need, but check out places online or a local dealer.

How to change stitches

You really need the instruction manual. You can order one at several places. I ordered mine through the Allyn Co., who is the present day Necchi distributer now in the U.S.A. You can order by calling them at 1-800-525-9987. They cost $10. & a moderate shipping & handling chargr. Their manuals are pretty informative on the machines, at least mine is.I bought two Necchi's used. One is a 537l & the other is a 525FA. It tells you how to clean & oil it & how often to do it & mine shows you how to set machine for the various results, & tells your stretch from the other stiches, etc.
