I get a service code 3.43.8

The printer will not go on line... I have new paper new ribbon in both loaded correctly.

Intermec PX4i label printer. Paper/Ribbon loaded correctly, but ribbon is 'rippled' meaning barcode label being printed has white lines across it. Any ideas?


Ribbon Wrinkle as it called can be caused due to the main feed rollers (that touch the ribbon or the label) being slightly worn. Zebra S600 not printing..replaced ribbon withe as paper/ribbon light solid..still no print after attempting reprint many times (the printing result are white labels)


Just a thought, Zebra Ribbons are Coated Side Out. Take a piece of tape and press it against the ribbon, ink should come off on the tape.

If not then make sure the ribbon is the correct type and that you have it loaded properly. Also, if you use multiple ribbons i.e. wax, wax resin or resin make sure that you have the correct ribbon for the media installed.

Does epson tm-t88iiip have a ribbon


No. thermal printers do not use ribbons or ink cartridges. They have thermal heads that heat up and use that heat to print on the specially treated, heat sensitive paper rolls. If the printer has stopped printing, check to see if the paper is thermal and loaded correctly (shiny side facing the front when it feeds).

Lines throug bar code, unable to scan


First of all, clean the printhead.

if the lines are from top to bottom, some dots in the print head are broken. Replace.

If the lines are from left to right, check if the ribbon is loaded correctly, if yes, proceed to clean the printhead, and every part that are in contact with ribbon.

This problem is not a heat problem, set the temperature to 0, in order to save printhead.

Datacard sp55 printer won't recognize ribbon


PR-01726 Ribbon Out
Out of print ribbon.
Possible Cause 1 : The print ribbon Cartridge is empty.

Solution 1 : Reload the print cartridge. Change the cleaning sleeve and replace the cartridge in the printer. Run a cleaning card as soon as printing is completed.

Possible Cause 2 : The printer ribbon is not loaded correctly.
Soultion 2 :Load the printer ribbon correctly and then close the cover.

Possible Cause 3 : This ribbon has been completely used.
Solution 3 : Use a new roll of ribbon.

Tips for Success
* When this message appears, replace the old ribbon with the new ribbon of the same type. The printer has already prepared the card data for this ribbon type. You can change the colors of monochrome ribbon (such as from dark blue to gold).

* If you must change the type of ribbon (such as (YMCKT to KT) when this message appears, install the new ribbon, cancel any cards waiting to print, and change the ribbon type settings. Finally, return to the card creation program to send the card data to print.

* If the ribbon was repaired, the wrong take-up spool was used. Repair the ribbon again, using the correct take-up spool.

If you cannot fix the problem contact your service provider for assistance.

My S4M printer's light flashes, and it spews out label paper


You need to check to make sure media and ribbon (if used) are installed correctly. Follow the path on the inside of the door. The sensor is positioned in a place that the media and ribbon can be loaded in the same spot, causing it to not see one or the other.

15 Volt CTL fail


Hi Serap,

If a fault condition occurs in the printer, the status indicator on the control panel flashes on and off, and the message display indicates the specific fault.

For the operator-correctable faults, After correcting the displayed fault, press the CLEAR key to clear the error message and status indicator and resume printing. If the fault message reappears, contact your authorized service representative.
If a fault is not correctable by the operator, you may try two steps to clear the fault before calling your authorized service representative:

1. Set the printer power switch to O (Off), wait 15 seconds, then turn the printer on again. Run your print job again. If the message does not appear, it was a false indication and no further attention is required.

2. If the message reappears, press the CLEAR key. If the message disappears, it was a false indication and no further attention is required. If the message reappears, call your authorized service representative at 1-800-243-3338.

Message Explanation Action 15V CTL FAIL* Controller voltage failure. Contact authorized service representative.
Call 1-800-243-3338

As far as software for the flash file is concerned , I have checked with their officaial sites , but they donot have any firmware updates.
