SOURCE: Beverage Air model DP93 tag states 9.5 ounces of

It's been my experience that in most cases, it is very difficult to get the exact amount in that is on the tag. A 5 ft. hose can hold up to 3 oz. of liquid and on small systems, it will drive you nuts. Always go with what you know. Charge the unit to proper pressures and watch it for a while to see if it is doing what you want. The charge may have to be 'Tweeked" to get it right.

REFRIGERATION
More robust refrigeration system
provides added capacity and efficien-cy. Systems are designed using CFC free R134a refrigerant. Forced
air from evaporator is moved under pans, which are recessed 2" from
top of cabinet. Forced air over the condenser is drawn from back and
bottom of cabinet. Automatic condensate evaporator is provided to
eliminate the need of floor drains.

R134a recharge instructions

There are no instructions. Valves need to be brazed onto service pigtails after market. The usual techniques of line taps, reclaim, braze permanent Schrader gauge port valves, evacuate, and critical charge is used. Not the good old days any more.

Beverage Air model DP93 tag states 9.5 ounces of R134A however seems undercharged when this amount is weighed in and immediately becomes effective with a few more ounces. Could the tag be wrong???

Head pressure high; suction pressure low. Unit not cooling

Good day,
It's a restriction.
It could be in the liquid line dryer, cap tube as well as the condenser. If it's a R134A system, it's a common problem.

In either case, the repairs can become extensive, with the factory when under warranty, authorizing, replacing the dryer, cap tube,
condenser, and many times the compressor.

Beverage air model sur27 refrigerator r134a powers on but doesn't get cold. compressor doesn't get cold not sure maybe it's the relay........if and when the ploblem is solved, is it hard to get parts for...

The larger pipe on compressor should get cold. The smaller should get warm to very hot depending on ambient conditions. Parts should be available, including a universal relay kit I could hook you up with. First determine if the compressor is running. Let me know. :)

Need to know what type of freon to use to recharge a one yaer old Beverage Air Sandwich table refrigeration unit. Is this the same process as recharging an automotive AC system?

Beverage air used R134a almost exclusively on refrigerators. The process is similiar to ac systems. You should weigh the charge in as per the data plate. Be precise as over or under charge can dramitically affect the performance of the unit. Hope this helps
