SOURCE: Fuel line for Stihl 025 chainsaw
It happens sometimes. You have to replace the fuel line. This is a trick.Remove the gas tank cap and take off the fuel line and remove the fuel filter.Take off the fuel line from the gas tank.Cut off the piece of the fuel line wich is larger and seals the gas tank. Now through that piece of fuel put an ordinary fuel but about the same diameter.Put all back and that is all you have to do.If you need farther info just let me know. best regards savumihai71

Some chain saws have the filter as the little bulb that picks up the gas down in the gas tank. Remove the gas cap and look in the gas tank. Using a piece of wire with a small hook bent into one end, reach into the tank and catch the pickup bulb. Slowly pull it out of the tank. Clean it with clean gasoline.

I'd try to contact them. Stihl IPLs are proprietary (not on-line) they may be willing to provide you one. it will probably have the detail needed to answer your question.
Do you have more than one Stihl dealer close? Sounds like this one doesn't need your business!!!
If all else fails someone with your model saw will probably help you here: Please do a dearch your question may have been asked and answered.

Fuel may be leaking past the carburetor fuel flow needle and seat due to dirt negating the control action of those two components. A tear-down and cleaning of the carburetor would likely help. Check the condition of the diaphragms and valves as well. There is a complete description of 2-stroke carburetor action (Walbro brand) at:
http://www.drystacked.com. It's a 12 page PDF. Hope this helps!

Pull off the clip and sprocket, then check the spring or wire behind the clutch. There is a notch in the sprocket hub that drives the spring when the hub is spinning. Sometimes the spring comes off the worm gear that it drives. If the spring is not there you need to remove the clutch to check it. It has left handed threads on it)
