TRY THE DOOR MANUALLY AND RUN THE OPENER DISCONNECTED FROM THE DOOR(WITH DOOR IN CLOSED POSITION).

THIS SHOULD ISOLATE THE PROBLEM (ACTUAL DOOR PROBLEM OR OPERATOR PROBLEM).

HOLDING DOWN THE WALL BUTTON OVERRIDES THE SAFETY EYES.
WHEN HOLDING IT DOWN MAKES THE DOOR CLOSE PROPERLY THE PROBLEM IS IN THE SAFETY EYES.

ARE BOTH LEDS ON? - CHECK FOR A LOOSE OR BROKEN WIRE.
ARE THE EYES WIRED CORRECTLY?
ARE THEY AIMED AT EACH OTHER?

IF THE DOOR STOPS/REVERSES (WITH DOOR CONNECTED) WHILE HOLDING DOWN THE WALL BUTTON TO CLOSE YOU NEED TO CHECK THE SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT.

HOPE THIS HELPS

How do you stop the door leaving a foot open at the bottom?

To stop the door in a partially open position, the button on the wall switch or remote should be pulsed when the door is opening from the fully closed position.

My liftmaster garage door shuts then just automatically re opens there is nothing in the sensors path

If it hits the floor and then reverses then you will have to first turn up the down force a little bit and try. If it still does then turn down the down travel to stop sooner. If it reverses before it hits the ground then turn up the down force. If this does not do it then more than likely the problem is in the door itself. Thanks BB

On operating my remote the garage door opens but when l try to shut the door it shuts then opens straight away the only way l can stop it is to press the remote again .There is a green light that keeps...

It sounds like the door is traveling too far, hitting the floor and then reversing to the open position. If this is the case you need to locate the 'down limit' control on the side of the motor unit and turn it a bit in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Some tweaking may be necessary to get it just right.

It is normal for that small green light to flash randomly. It can also assist in diagnosing some problems by flashing a code. It will flash a number of times and then pause and then repeat. If this is the case, post the number of flashes.

After my garage door comes down, it reopens automatically! I can't seem to find anything that is causing this.

You might want to check that the sensors mounted on the side of your garage are lined up .... Also you can check the garage opener itself, there is a screw usually in the back with a +/- .. by turning this screw you adjust where the garage door stops if it is set too far on the + side it might be opening because of this

Garage door closes and then automatically opens half way

ADJUST THE DOWN LIMIT IT THINKS THERE IS AN OBSTRUCTION AND IS REVERSING LIKE IT SHOULD.

TURN THE LIMIT ABOUT 1/4 TURN AT A TIME.

After opening, my automatic garage door creeps back down a bit

There is a sensitivity switch for both directions, open and close. If you access the garage door opener in the ceiling, you will see two adjustment screws for calibrating these. I would highly recommend following the instructions in your manual, as these are life safety adjustments! Your sensitivity for closing the door is adjusted to the positive. You just need to back it off a little. Place a 2x4 on the floor of the garage where the door comes down. and when the door hits the 2x4, it should automatically come back up. If not, you adjusted it too far. Hope this helps. and remember, check the manual for your specific adjustment procedures.

Garage door won't close

your door travel screw is set to go too far on the downward travel. you need to set the down travel. It is set to go too far down. find the screw adjustment on the unit that says close and back off the screw a full turn until door stops short of floor. then start turning screw other way until door just touvhes floor.
