Question about Dell Dimension 4700 PC Desktop
The motherboard could be faulty. Closely inspect the capacitors, especially around the CPU. Capacitors are cylinders that are connected to the motherboard. Most will have a metallic top and are wrapped in black. They should be flat on the top. If they are bloated or have any corrosion, this is definitely the problem. It is common on these models.
