Not sure what you call these items, but they are mounted internal on each side of the lens assembly. The one associated with the blue side has a large "brown" square in the center of it and a small distorted area. We noticed a "yellow" box when the projector was turned on and it also turned all displayed white items yellow. I have dis-assembled the projector and found these "sliders" that screw down and need to replace all three of them. I'm not sure if they are suppose to look the same, but they don't. One's a light to medium gray(RED SIDE), ones has a slight redish/pink color(GREEN SIDE) nad the one I mentioned earlier which is pinkish also(BLUE SIDE), but has the brown square in the middle. Trying to find a dealer or parts place to get these parts

The Polarizer should be available through Mitsubishi. 150 for all three. here is a video of dis-assembly.

The problem is in the light path starting with the blue input polarizer then the blue lcd hopefully its just the input polarizer. worst case you will have to replace the LCD block witch is expensive to do. the polarizer ia a speacialy tinted glass designed to help with the LCD's temp.

I believe your referring to a lens flare...if so, you must smoothly sand the lens with the finest sand paper and then buff it to perfection

My 3m s20 projector has a big yellow spot in the middle of the screen even without a video signal. changing lamps did not help.

the polarizer on the blue lcd panel is fried due to excessive dust and heat. you may have to replace the whole optical engine.

Sharp notevision xgnv6xu oval yellow spot

I have a similar issue with yellow pattern on the left and top right of my screen. Took it apart and found the blue lcd had damage that matched the yellow area that was projected. I thought it was the lens but it was the blue lcd .It has gone bad and no replacement. Are you interested in selling the bulb or the whole projector? I have since purchased another projector and am keeping the bad one for spare parts. Hope this helps..Ben

This is probably the polarizing filter. It will need to be replaced. It should not cost very much to fix.

Image has big yellow

Hi Zenmast

This is a burnt LCD that will need replacement. If the circle is yellow on a white screen , then it is your blue LCD that will need replacement.

YELLOW SPOT ON SCREEN

There may be a dust fleck on one of the LCD screens inside your projector. I had a similar problem and managed to clean it. But it requires you to dissassemble the entire projector !!!. If you are not technical, don't do this yourself. !!!
