Lennox 80 UHG Furnace

The LED diagnostic code says it could be any one of the following. I am unsure which of the two LED went off, but it appears to me the “top”LED slowly flashed for a diagnostic code description of: “Flame sensed withoutgas value energized.”

Other wise my diagnostic code description is:
”Pressure switch open or has opened 5 times during a single call for heat; OR:Condensate line blocked; OR: Pressure switch closed prior to activation ofcombustion air blower.”

Any ideas? Anything I could try out before calling for service? I replaced thefilter and it didn't help. So if there's anything you can suggest, it'd bereally appreciated.

Kind regards,

SOURCE: Pressure switch

Hi AB, I am mr.grzz,
thanks for your questions, well first off there is no fixing the pressure switch, it will have to be replaced, you will need your model and serial number on the furnace, make of furnace, to order a new one from a parts supplier, fairly easy to replace.first make sure the power is off to the furnace, undo the two wire leads on it, then the two screws holding it in place, remove the one or two small hoses attached to it, if you remove it before you go to look for a part, that would be best, there is a rating on it, just follow these steps in reverse to put in place, hope that helped ya, thanks again, mr.grzz

SOURCE: Furnace blower blows cold air

It is possible that you did not set the new blower on the proper speed. Black wire is high. Blue is medium. Red is low. If the fan is operating to slow it can run to hot and trip the high limit control. Make sure the filters are clean. When the old motor went bad, the problem might not have been discovered rite away your high limit control might need to be changed.
Also anytime you work on a furnace you can kick up some dust. Always clean the flame sensor.
Good Luck

What is the saddle valve?

Your humidifier will have either a copper or plastic tubing attached to it. This tubing is the water tubing. If you follow that line to where it "taps" into a water line (near the water heater or a water line under your house), there should be a water shut-off valve. The water shut-off valve could be any type of valve but is normally a saddle valve. You could skip the step of shutting off this valve; however, it is good practice to shut the valve off for two reasons: 1. in the event of a water leak, you will be able to easily locate the valve to shut off the water. 2. if the valve is not "excercised" from time to time, the seals will dry rot and the valve will not be capable of doing it's job when the need arises.

Here is a video showing you how to trace your water line to your saddle valve. There is additional information on the video that you might find helpful as well.

Thank you for the follow up but there was a price at the end for my question so I decided to find out myself. I bought this product which is not the greatest and if on top of that I have to pay for a little information that's a bit far !

This has happened to me. Check the contact points in the base of the machine. Ours had some corrosion on them. I took an emery board and filed the corrosion off to clean the contact points.

I fixed my problem by ordering a new control unit (model 56) from IAQSOURCE. Installing the control unit took a few mintues, and once the new control module was installed, I've had no more problems. The URL is as follows: http://www.iaqsource.com
