How do you remove a chip from a mother board to scrap

got the same pc,the video interface chip on mother board has blown,common fault with this pc,replace motherboard is option 1 option 2 buy a new pc

Have you checked in the list of devices if its listed there, if not, then its not being recognized by the mother board, try removing it and placing it again, just remove the screw under the lap top, its indicated with a little disc sign, once removed, then slide the cd rom out, and slide it back in placeand check if it works, if its listed, and theres an exclamation sign on it, then try updating the driver on it,
If neither of these works, then the cd rom itself may be bad, or the mother board may be going faulty...

two options

1. look on the mother board for a small round battery about the size of a nickle, remove it, start pc, after start up shut down, replace battery, start up again... or remove battery, let sit for about 30min, replace battery start pc.

2. look for a small red or yellow toggle switch or button on the mother board, (should say "reset bios") push button, restart pc.


i assume this is a lap top so there will be some disassembly of the unit, not to extreme though, usualy the battery and the switch/button are next to one another and located toward the front of the mother board, and if in lap tops the battery or batteries are in a plastic covering wired to the mother board with a small connector, just unplug connector if you cant find the reset button.

If it is that loose it is worn out in the case on the mother board now this is a simple replacement of a little plastic adapter. They are relatively inexpensive but the repair is not. It is complete removal of parts from the lap top to get to this part. If not done correctly your lap top will suffer serious issues and may have to have the whole board replaced. I strongly advise that you take this in to a repair shop or make it work by gently take a pair of pliers "Needle Nose" and gently squeeze the tip I mean gently so as to not break the wiring seal or anything else. Do it just enough to stay on the pin on your lap top.
Take this in if you can afford it and get it done properly is my first option. You are responsible for it if you go with that suggestion of a gentle squeeze not much very gentle and once until it stays in that is all. This is what I would do first it is cheaper to replace another cord than a board repair. John

I doubt if that can be done as most lap tops have the CPU soldered in and very close pin spacings preclude some one replacing without destroying the mother board. if you have never taken a lap top apart, you are in for a treat as the machines do not come apart easily

kindly clean the ram and if there is more then 1 ram in motherboard removed that and try installing with single ram. also check the fan is working fine and .the heatsink in not too heat. chek the media cd also .

The Duet washer is a good machine, just unfortunate Whirlpool engineers used oxidative circuit board coatings. All the circuit board connections are oxidizing causing the machines to have faulty connections. We have fixed the problem using this information.
UNPLUG the machine first . Take the top off (3 screws in the back) , remove the mother board box from the frame housing and remove the lid. Now you can see the circuit board.
Carefully remove ONLY one (clip plug-in) at a time. Scrap with a (knife or sandpaper or steel wool ) the edge connector where that plug was, on the circuit board removing the oxidated metal (it may not look oxidated but must be cleaned), Next put ( vaseline or mineral oil) on the edge connector where that plug was, NOTE: Vaseline or mineral oil is a non-conductive oil and will not effect electronic operation but will prevent further oxidation and the erratic operation of the mother board will cease.
Now do the next plug and repeat until completed.
NOTE: We recommend only one plug at a time so you do not get confused where each plug belongs.
Put the cover back on the mother board box and reattach to the frame, then put the lid back on and screw it down. End of any problems.

check the back of the power connector to see if it is loose. I have known alot of situations were, if not carefully removed, that power connector in the can free itself from the sodder on the Mother board therefore you wont be able to charge the battery nor boot up. hope that helps
