The player indicates it is loading the DVD, it tries to read it, but after a minute or so, indicates there is "no disc" I tried this with several discs that play on another player.

I put in a DVD and it ssaid it was loading for a long time and then said no disc. I put in different discs even though they work in other players with the same results - no disc. I used canned air to blow out the disc tray and inside, still didn't work.

need more info, but did you try with another movie dvd? have you clean it with a cleaner dvd, blow some dry air by the port of the tray when it is open(could by a can in radio shack), if everything dosent funcion, then, you need a tech, the disc is not runing or the reading sistem has damage...good luck

Despite the fact that there is a warenty invalid if broken sticker on the back, I opened mine up anyway. I thoroughly cleaned with can air. Later noticed that the track that holds the motor that makes the disc spin wasn't moving. It suspose but it wasn't so I gently nudged it to the right, popped in a disc and it worked fine. My problem is I got up and I tried to move it off my lap and place it back on the stand stumbled and dropped the player. So after it dangled from the cord and smashed into the entertainment center it won't come on at all now, but it did work prior to my clumsiness.
