Gday mate, geoff here, i recently got a iphone 4 now face time will work on the WiFi though i had to "jailbreak" the phone to do this, our particular router is a "Billion", i found iphone unlocker pro program called "redsn0w" gave me what i needed, to be honest hacking the thing with a different program tells me the product is failing in its use, but i am stuck with the thing fer a wee while so that was the only solution i found personally, hope this helps, geoff

How to connect an iPod to a computer connection

<p>The iPod is one of the world's most popular MP3 players because of its ease of use. You can simply drag and drop video and audio files from your computer to the device to your collection on-the-go media to expand. The process of establishing this connection with your computer is easy, and maker of the iPod, Apple only requires that the freedom of the media management program, iTunes downloads to begin adding audio and video on your iPod. <br /> <p><br /> <p>1. Identify your hardware. If you use a computer with a USB 2.0 port, then you have it easier because all you have to do is plug in your hardware. If you are using an older computer (usually with an operating system to Windows 2000), then you have a USB 2.0 port, in which case you should consider using a FireWire or USB 1.1. If you do not have FireWire or USB 1.1, you need a card or adapter. <br /> <p><br /> <p>2. Identify your iPod. Fifth-generation iPods or later can be connected using standard FireWire adapter cable option, but otherwise requires USB 2.0 ports. You can also use standard iPod USB 1.1 ports, but it requires an adapter. The Nano and Shuffle models can only connect via USB ports. <br /> <p><br /> <p>3. Connect the iPod cable that you use on your iPod. The larger end of the cable should fit in the bottom of your iPod, whether it is a standard FireWire cable or dock to the USB 2.0 connection. <br /> <p><br /> <p>4. Connect the other end of the cable to the designated location. For USB users, this will be a USB port on your computer. If you use FireWire, and connect it to four or six-pin FireWire is not. <br /> <p><br /> <p>5. Download and install iTunes if you do not have the software. It is a free program your iPod. If you had installed before establishing the connection, it will open and audio / visual files or on their own. After transferring to your iPod files to load or eject. <br />

Ipod is not recognized by itunes. it wont play or charge it just blinks 4 times when i plug it in

  1. The iPod reset utility will reset your iPod shuffle back to it's factory settings. It works for the following shuffles: iPod shuffle (1st Generation) - iPod Software version 1.1.5, iPod shuffle (2nd Generation) - iPod Software version 1.0.3
The reset utility will fix the following issues.
    1. The iPod won't play music and can't be restored using iTunes
    2. iTunes won't see the iPod but you can see it under "My Computer" in windows or under Apple System Profiler on a Mac.
    3. iPod shuffle (1st Generation) is identified as a device in "Recovery mode." iPod shuffle (2nd Generation) is identified as a "USB DFU device."
  2. You have to have administrator privileges to run the restore software and it will wipe out all the information on the iPod (including all your music) and install factory software back onto it.
System requirements are Mac OS X 10.3.9, or later, Win2k with sp4, Win XP, this won't work on Vista.
Download the file for the program here:
    MAC
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ipodresetutility102formac.html
    Windows
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ipodresetutility102forwindows.html
  3. Install the software onto your computer, plug your iPod into the USB port and run the reset program, it will ask for your permission to reset the iPod, answer yes and the process will proceed. After finishing the reset procedure then use iTunes or whatever software is used to access your iPod and load your music. Enjoy your toy!

My iPOD touch doesn't work with the JVC dvd receiver kd-av7010

Most likely not, because the Ipod needs a USB 2.0 port, the JVC receiver you has most likely has an older USB port version. The cord should not make a difference.

To reset an iPod with a Click Wheel, including: ipodnano3.jpg ipodclassic.jpg icon_ipod_5g.gif ipodnano2.jpg ipodnano.jpg ipodphoto.gif ipodg4.gif ipodmini.gif
  • iPod nano (3rd generation)
  • iPod classic
  • iPod (5th generation)
  • iPod nano (2nd generation)
  • iPod nano
  • iPod with color display (iPod photo)
  • iPod (Click Wheel)
  • iPod mini
  • iPod mini (2nd generation)
  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.
