Hi there, you will need a diagnostic check carried out to locate the exact fault, most garages have the equipment to carry out these checks so you won't need to visit your ford agent, a common fault on the engines is the camshaft sensor these cost around £20 and are very easy to replace, however once you have it tested you will now your exact fault, hope this helps

the flashing orange light is the glowplug light that telling you there is a engine managment problem. you need to get the fault code out of the engine control module with a obd code reader to determine the cause but the common cause of the flashing glow plug warning is a air leak after the turbo charger

I have a mondeo 2.0 tdci 02,the glow plug light came on when i was driving and stalled,so i changed the camshaft censor and the car was fine, then a couple of days later,i went to start the car and the...

that is limp mode there is a problem with the engine and you need a code reader to find the problem cam and crank sensors are prom to go over time but there are other sensors and to find the right problem the codes need reading. also i would recommend you check the diesel round seal on the intake as these can fail. ford want you to by a new unit and so do others, but the seal can be replaced and only cost a few pence. take old one into a bearing and seal supplier and they will locate one in stock, has this problem myself as it cause engine problems with weak fuel pressure.
