Question about Mitsubishi VS-55707 TV
Bought the tv with no remote and no owners guide. When switched on it comes up with a blue screen that reads "child lock" and switches off after 15 seconds... How do I get it to work???
Easy! But you will need the original remote. On the remote is a button called QV for quick veiw. Press that button at the same time with the 9 button. This will open the lock, But it will return when you turn off the set and turn back on again. If you want it to do a normal turn on , once you open the lock you must go into the menu and remove the lock from the set completely. You may be able to find a friend or a store that might let you borrow an original remote? Sorry to be the bearer of poor news my friend. Good Luck

U really need a Original remote to sort out this problem. But, just give this a try. Take a Universal remote, set it to the Mitsubishi TV frequency, and then keep the 'Menu' button pressed, aiming at the TV, for 15-20 secs. It may work. Is there a Misubishi Service centre in your area? you could ask those guys.
