When I unpacked the HD and plugged it into the usb hub it worked fine and I did transfer files to it. Later I decided to erase the HD for some reason and after doing so the HD is not powering up anymore.
    Why is this?

How did you "erase" the hard drive?

I erased in Disk Utility (mac journaled) but didn't format after that. This shouldn't mean that the drive is not powering up and is not working at all anymore. I've erased several HDs before and all worked fine.

It sounds like the drive has failed. The fact that you erased the drive just before it failed is coincidental.

Take the drive back and request a replacement under warranty. Also, demand that they destroy the drive in order to protect your data.

I Need drivers for iMac 10 that work with Micronet PHD16072u2f

Hi, seeing that this drive has both USB and FireWire connectors it does not need any drivers. - In fact I have never needed drivers for any external drive in all of my 20+ mac years.
First thing to check is that the drive is powering up. Can you feel it come on and off when you turn the power on and off?Try connecting via the FW or the USB in turn (never together). TYry different cables - there are poor cables of both sorts.
If there is still nothing, try connecting something else to the same connectors of the computer - does it show up?
Sometimes the built-in USB hub can throw a wobbley - as can the FW hub. Resetting the USB hub is normally done by rebooting the computer. Resetting the FW is a little more complicated and varies from Mac to Mac - so check out on the Apple support pages at Apple.com the correct way to do it for your particular Mac.

IMac deactivates USB port when I connect my Nikon P300

Try connecting the camera directly to the computer, without going through a hub. If that doesn't work, then buy a card reader.

Samsung E2210B flashes logo and then dies It won't turn on again. Battery is full

Hi, when a phone flashes logo and goes off it means that memory has been affected by VIRUS.

VIRUS can damage a phone in no time. VIRUS can be caused by downloading applications on your phone through the internet, or might be from data transfer from a phone to another phone.

To remove the VIRUS, you will need to flash the phone memory. Flashing the phone will restore back the phone to it normal state.

You can use this link to see how to flash your phone

Flashing a cell phone will erase carrier data from the memory. Cellular companies can usually do this for a fee. Online buyer sites sell the software kit that will flash a cell phone from home computers.

To flash a phone you will need to rewrite the PRL file by connecting your phone to a computer with the needed equipment. Your best bet is to take your phone to a dealer that flashes phones on a regular basis. For more information

and

unlocktotalk.com/UnlockCodeInstructions.htm.

After trying out all this and still it does not work, that means the phone board is damaged,it will need to be replaced

Take care.

I have a Acom data hard drive Model HD500uhe5-72

Here's what you need to do:

1. Try connecting the HD (hard drive) into different USB ports of the computer.

2. Try another computer to see if the HD would be detected.

3. Try another USB cable.

Do you hear a clicking sound on the HD itself while it's turned on? Check the Disk Management of your Vista computer to see if the HD would be detected under the Disk Management. Please follow the steps below:

1. On your Desktop screen, right-click the "Computer" icon > select "Manage".

2. Double-click on "Disk Management"

3. Connect the HD while looking at the Disk Management. If the drive letter appear then, it's your Acomdata HD.

4. Check the status if it's healthy or unallocated disk space. If it appeared to be unallocated, you need to reformat the HD to make it work again.

To reformat it, just right-click on the drive letter that would appear and there's an option to reformat.

NOTE: Formatting a HD would erase all the data saved in it.

Have a great day!
