**I would recommend this to Sony Ericsson cell phones and there is no harm in tying it for other phone models as well.
Turn the phone off. Remove the battery. Wait 30 seconds or more ... Put the battery back in. Turn it back on. If it works - GREAT. If it doesn't work, call Metro PSC back and tell them you did what they said to do and it still doesn't work.
If the phone is already off or will not turn off ... remove the battery ... wait 30 seconds or more ... put the battery back in ... turn on the phone. See above for further details.
whenever it does it pull the battery out and then wait a few seconds put the battery back in and turn the phone back on and it shouldnt do it anymore... Thats what i did to mine and it worked =) Hope this can help
My phone does the same and i realized that it seems to have something to do with the yahoo messanger and the facebook mobile apps i have installed. It improved once i deleted any such messaging application even though the problem did not dissappear completely.
It might be to late, but doesn't hurt to try, keep battery / sim card out, and put the phone in a freezer, if you don't have a freezer place it next to an air vent, wait over night (10 hours at least) And you should see water dripping out, warm it in your hands for about 20 seconds, dry it out with any towel / cloth place the sim card than battery in, if it doesn't turn on contact your phone company from a land-line about your insurance
