This posting http://www.phonoland.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3277 says you should just be able to hook into the aux in and it should work. Perhaps you aren't turning up your iPod enough. You could also try posting your question to the phonoland message board and you may have better luck getting and answer there.

I can't find where to hook up my AUX cable on my stereo its not in the front

Depending on the model and make of your headunit, the auxillary input may actually be a cable that comes from the rear of the unit. I see alot of these wired this way, especially with ipod controls. The wire is usually routed down to come out around where the ashtray is (or cup holder, where everyone puts their ipod anyway). You may have to remove the unit to see if this is the case. Happy hunting.

I don't know how to take my Gatco 4515 "Tiara" Robe Hooks off the door now that I'm moving. Please help. Thank you.

I'm not 100% sure about this model, but I have a similar hook by another brand. Here's how mine is removed:

When you look at the hook, there's a small hole at the 6 o'clock position, (pointing down, right next to the wall.) This hole is actually a set screw that can be turned with a small hex-key (aka allen wrench)
thomascha103_7.jpg The size needed is pobably about 2 mm, or 1/16 in.

Turn the set screw counter-clockwise for a few turns to loosen the hook from the mounting bracket. When the set screw is backed out far enough, the hook will detach.
After he hook is removed, you'll be able to see the mounting bracket that is screwed into the wall. Remove the screws with a screwdriver, and take the mounting bracket with you. You'll need it to attach the hook to the new wall.

If there is no set screw or hole visible from any side, then your Gatco hook might be removed from the mounting bracket by twisting the entire hook counter-clockwise.

If anyone else out there has experience with this particular brand, please chime in and correct me if I'm wrong.

I hope I've been helpful. Good luck.

Can I hook up an ipod to a Yahama RX-V590 receeiver?

Hello,

Yes you can. You need to buy an auxillary cable for your iPod that converts the 3.5mm jack to regular RCA audio jacks. Then connect the RCA audio jacks to the jack of your RXV590.

I hope this helps. Thanks and have a nice day.

Can i hook up my ipod

In your car there should be an auxillary jack located in the glove compartment where you can purchase an auxillary jack and insert and plug into your Ipod in the headphone jack.
Hope this helps

IPOD ADAPTOR

you have to buy the ipod connection kit to pioneer, but if your deck have RCA input at the back..all you need is Y cable 2 (RCA male - 35mm jack)

RCA will be connected to DECK, 35 mm jack to your ipod.

to use your ipod...change the input setting on your deck to AUX (auxillary) most deck have this for CD Changer connection

Good Luck

Ipod?

There is no IP-BUS plug on the back of this model radio, nor is there a 3.5mm heaphone jack for auxillary input. The only way possible is through a wired FM Modulator.

My suggestion would be to replace the head unit. This model is a very inexpensive unit ($100retail) and can be replaced with a unit that is similar in features but with the addition of ipod input. You can get a radio with direct ipod control and charging for less than $150! Hope this was helpful.

Auxillary option not available in menu

Try putting the unit in standby via the "SRC" button FIRST..., then press the menu button and cycle through to the "AUX 1" option and activate this....then press menu button again. When the unit is next switched on, you should have an "AUX" option accessible via the "SRC" button which will cycle through all of the availale modes ....standby-tuner-cd-aux etc etc.

Having problems hooking up an ipod.

The "bus audio input" works as an auxiliary input on some Sony decks, but not all. For the others, you need an auxiliary input adapter like this one: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Yln489DwSWp/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=127AUXONS You can also use a Sony iPod adapter that will charge the iPod and let you control it through the head unit controls: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Yln489DwSWp/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=305250&I=158XA110IP&search=sony+iPod
