Whirlpool Duet GHW9100LQ F02 Code after C6 diagnostic

Yes, the drain pump is faulty and needs to be replaced. Here is the part to order. If you would like the service manual for that unit, post back to me and I will send you a link to it.

The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

E1 flashes on my whirlpool dryer (model GHW9100LQ). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

E1 is a thermostat/thermal fuse failure error which means that the thermal fuse has gone bad and should be replaced. I believe that everything else is fine rather it is the thermal fuse that is located inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct that is bad and should be replaced. If you want you can test this fuse for continuity and if bad replace it as it cannot be reset. If the fuse is fine then it can be due to the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have a GHW9100LQ front loading Whirlpool Duet washer that is 7 years old. It has recently been displaying error code F02. Today water leaked onto my floor. I read the suggestions on cleaning the drain...

"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

How can you tell if the MCU is not working

Unplug the power cord.
First you need to remove the lower panel on the front of the washer and clean the drain filter.(3 screws)Turn the filter counter-clockwise and pull it out.
If the water does not drain in the correct amount of time the washer will not enter high spin.
Second, the MCU is a common failure on these machines. The motors seldom fail.
Third, check all wire connections to and from the MCU for loose, broken or corroded. All 3 circumstances can happen.

I have whirlpool duet ghw9100lq does not start only flashing

select pause/cancel twice if it still does not unlock. It is not unlocking because of water still in the system, run the drain spin cycle manually if that does not work you will have to clean out the lint trap and the water left inside will drain on your floor. To clean the lint trap. there is a panel at the bottom front of the washer. along the bottom of the washer there are three torx type screws to remove the panel these will be above the drawer unit if you purcased the stand. remove the panel by lifting from the bottom. then in the center you will see a plastic cap. twist the cap to remove. this is your lint filter. it pulls out and has a cup shaped piece attached to it pay attention to how it comes out im not sure if you can put it in wrong. clean the area out. there may be some water to spill out depending on how much is clogged in your system. replace the cap once you have cleaned it out this should help with your problems.

Need to buy drain pump

I have found to be the best source for purchasing parts. Just type in your model number and the pump will be located under the "Pump and Motor" heading as item number 10 (part #8181684). The Sears website also has helpful exploded view illustrations that you can use for troubleshooting and component identification. For comparative pricing, also carries many of the same parts. Use the part number provided by Sears for your search. This is the easiest way I know of to order parts and have them shipped directly to you. This generally isn't a standard part that an appliance repair retailer would carry in their inventory, I hope this helps answer your questions. If you need assistance in installing the replacment pump, go to my profile and look under my "Tips and Tricks section. I have a write up on step-by-step instructions for replacing a pump on a Whirlpool Duet and Kenmore Elite front loader.

After reading your posted comments regarding all the different problems with the front loader. I located the problem with the door latch activator similar to your car door light switch. As it ages/wears down it just disappears to the inside of the mount leaving no indication it is even there. As suggested in the comment on your forum you can place a small object inside the plastic switch to simulate the missing knob or possibly run a bypass electrically.

The part is only $56 and is readily available at dealers. My problem was I ordered it online and am still waiting for this to arrive even after they assured me from the order desk it was in shipping mode! Hmmmmm!!!!

Thank you
