ILO LCD Color HDTV does not change channels /... (by 36 users)
I can't get the TV to respond to anything other than on/off. I have tried from the side buttons and from the remote. I can turn it on and off but no menu, +/-volumn,+/- channels, entering channels by numbers....none of the buttons on the remote do anything except the Power button.
It comes on and reads ANALOG TV as usual then identifies the Channel A 47 with the word Mono underneath.... It plays the channel just fine but that's it..... just that one channel.... Then last thing I recall having done was gone into the TV Menu and set the channels... Could I have screwed something up there? Is there a way to reset the thing back to factory defualts?

My TV is a 32 inch ILO LCD purchased in Dec of 2006 and the same thing happened to it in July of 2007. I change the channels through my cable box, but it stuck on a volume that is low enought that if you have any other noise (A/C, dishwasher, etc) you can not hear it. Also cannot do anything but turn it on and off. Walmart would not help, the extended warranty I bought is not worth anything, they said they would send me a label to ship the TV back, no lable and no one answers if you call the # now.

You must have your model number,serial # and a copy of a reciept for them to even start talking to you...
You must be a shop to purchase parts.. Their operators are RUDE..
They say if it's out of warranty it's 149.99 to repair it + parts + shipping...There located in California

The german electronics comany at www.ilo.com has a huge disclaimer on their web site: We are NOT iLO home electronics. Apparently this wal-mart el-cheapo company has a very bad track record.
If there's a class action lawsuit, let us know about it!

I HAVE A 32INCH AV/TV/PC MONITOR LCD TV WITH HDTV TUNER BUILD IN .....ILO-32HD.....JUST A LITTLE OVER ONE YEAR OLD AT THE WAL-MART PRICE OF $797.00.IT IS STUCK ON THE HISTORY CHANNEL AT A MORE THAN COMFORTABLE VOLUME. THE REMOTE TURNS IT ON AND OFF AND THATS IT. THE CONTROL BUTTONS DO NOTHING.I HAVE UNPLUGGED AND REPLUGGED IT. I CHANGED THE REMOTE BATTERIES.I EVEN BOUGHT A NEW REMOTE AND SO FAR NOTHING WORKS.

its stuck on channel 10. cant change channel,volume,menu,etc from remote or directly from the tv.but it turns on/off just fine from the remote and tv,the channel that it's stuck on(10) works fine.All i want is to be able to connect my cable to it,maybe get it to ch.3 Even if i cant have remote.

I tried to change the channel on the tv instead of the remote and now NOTHING on the tv will work at all and neither will the remote.Tried everything and nothing will work. UGH!!!

Ditto....My TV is stuck on channel 24. I've now taken it to two repair shops with no avail. With all these problems, Walmart or the Mfgr should take the units back. Hey ! just give me in-store credit I don't care. It's such a lot of money to some of us (which they targeted the low-income for this product) Can anyone HELP!!!!

The tv is acting the same as the above person described. The volume is low but on and the channel is on 3 cable, but won't react to anything. We even tried buying a universal remote and found the code, but it wouldn't do any more than the original remote. The controls on the top of the tv will not work either. Help email me and send an email PLEASE

Same exact problem. Can't do anything but turn it on and off with the remote and it is stuck on the S-Video input. I can't use my HD outputs from my Wii or Xbox with it. Also bought from walmart.

I have the same problem. Had the TV right at a year, and the only thing that works on the TV and on the remote is power. Stuck on 1 channel. Thank goodness it's stuck to Directv, so I can still change channels through that.

O yes i have the same problem but the tv works great with the cable box because my tv stayed on channel 3 and i can hook up my cable box and watch the channels from cable and with the cable box I can turn up the volume or turn it down... I would like to get my money back for this piece of JUNK Lawsuit I bought mine at Walmart as well.. Here in San Diego

I have the exact same problem. At first, the TV would not recognize any inputs - I would have to turn it on by the remote control, then turn it off by the button on the TV itselt, wait 30 seconds, then turn it on by the button on the TV - then it would recognize the component video or cable inputs. Now, nothing works except the on/off switch - I can't change channels, control volume, etc. Of course, this is all just past warranty. Amazing that so many people are having the same issue. WalMart, if you're listening, I'm thinking this sounds like a class action lawsuit.

Remote will only turn TV on and off, only one channel. This stinks that so many products experience the same manufacturing fault.

I have same problem, no volume, controls on tv don't work except to turn it off/on using the remote. Sometimes no picture just sound. Initial Technology has tv now. They said it will cost 99.00 to fix it..

pretty much same problem, auto scanned channels and tv now is stuck on a sentence which reads "This in an encripted channel" and now will not do anything no matter what we try. We reconnected the cable, unplugged for a while, turned on and turned off a few times, remote just turns tv on or off. Other buttons on remote do nothing. Please help solve this problem. Same problems.

I also have the "stuck" problem. Does anyone know if an "engineer menu" is available? If so, how do you access it? I build custom electronics for a living, so I know you can hide some really cool things ("easter eggs" as they are called).

Same problem exactly! Has anyone been able to fix it?? I have tried unpluging, disconnecting the cable, replacing batteries on the remote, turning the tv on while holding down the menu button, but nothing has made any difference at all.

ilo-26HD lcd televsion stuck on one channel. wont respond to the remote or the buttons on the tv itself. Turns on and off only. The channel it is stuck on plays fine. Any suggestions, I see I'm not the only one with this problem.
