Hold down the up button and use a paper clip or tip of your stylis to reset, do both of these at the same time.

How can i install my palm up to the computer without the software? where can i find it?

Hello, Rosilin.

No problem. Here's the link for your Zire 72. You just need to choose Windows or Mac and download and install the Hotsync Manager software.

Hope this helps.

My PalmOne Zire 72S battery won't charge. How do I

I can't get the back off my 72s to replace the battery, any instructions would be appreciated. One source says there is a third screw in the wire mesh but I only found the 2 lower ones. Also, I can't find the Media Icon anywhere, therefore I can't use the camera or download pics. I even reloaded the software to no avail.

How to insert a sim card into my Palm Zire 72

No sim card in the Zire 72. On-board memory on the motherboard only to store records not directed to or on expansion memory card.
Zire 72 battery changeout not designed to be user serviceable. Undertake at your peril (unless you are very steady handed, patient, and very very careful). The 72 is probably the most difficult of the Palms to change batteries. Go to:
Navigate to the Zire 72 section and read the posts. There are even detailed photos and uTube movies that deal with changing the battery. I have used their forum for years. Lots of help there.

Fatal exception

Sounds like a third-party app is causing the problem.

Try Palm's own guide to diagnosis and you should find out what.

My Palm Zire 72 will no longer charge

At first, before to want to be sure where is the problem is, you must do these sample tests: 1) Take out your battery and plug your power cord into your phone without battery. If : Power is on, there is definitely, your battery is bad and cannot hold a charge. If nothing happens, your internal battery may be dead and cannot hold charge so all info in your ROM of course has been washed away except the pre-load software by Palm. 2) At this step, you need to open your Palm if you know how to do to check for any bad connection between cable and use your volmeter to check the voltage output of your inner battery or can be called reserved battery whether it is have any power. If your reserved one has correct output voltage as in specs then check all connection around your power supply part to see any crack or defect. Please reviews the link below for detail: I hope these info will give you some hints.

Fatal Exception every time I sync.

Check docs to go and Avantgo Documents to Go and Avantgo are usually the culprit with me; if you use these try to reinstall. Check (delete and reinstall) "complex" applications, build to be able to use databases on the SD card. The final straw is the procedure suggested by Palm; -make a copy of your back-up from the palm directory; program files/palmone/van/backup. - do a hard reset - reinstall the applications one by one, hotsync after every install until you have found the offending application

What is LyncHS, and Why am I crashing EVERY day?!

LyncHS, Zire 72, Soft Reset and XP Professional I do a sync and my PDA crashes... I have to do a soft reset almost every single time. I have been having the same exact problem but cannot seem to find anyone who can help!!!! Before I got my Zire 72 I had this problem with my Sony Clie. I even narrowed it down to this LyncHS application and still could not get help. I finally purchased a new PDA because I was getting tired of this happening. It was not the PDA... it is the Palm OS or a Palm application that is a problem. I have not installed ANY third party applications so PalmOne needs to quit trying to tell me to uninstall those. MitaMe, you are absolutely correct... this is not acceptable and since I am not the only one having problems, I fully expect PalmOne to take it more seriously and try to resolve it. I should not have to perform a soft reset most every time I sync on my Windows XP Professional PC. By the way, I sync on my computer at home which is not Windows XP Pro and this does NOT happen.
