Ipod Touch does not support file format for new HD downloads from Itunes?

My ipod touch (the first generation) will not sync the new TV shows I have downloaded from Itunes. (HD shows). They are m4v format and so were the last shows I downloaded and they played. I have 4 new downloads that will not play because they are HD, any suggestions? I also cannot play them on my computer using itunes or VLC player or quicktime any suggestions you may have would be helpful. I have tried downloading the new software; it didn't work. I tried restoring my ipod, that did not work?????

I did but its not working. (Videora ipod converter).

The other shows (older seasons) I downloaded work just fine, but it is the new season TV shows that are in HD format that come up as being "your ipod does not support this format". They are the m4v the same as the old ones, when you look at their properties. So I am confused on why the old season shows will play but the new HD season shows will not.

My computer will not play the old series shows either the sound comes across fine but the video is dragging and choppy. Thanks!

I don't think it matters about whether there HD or not.  They just have to be in mpeg 4 format compatible with Ipod.  Do you have any software to convert the files into a different format?

I purchased a used Ipod touch third generation but cant download music or games to it

When it comes to transferring music from computer to iPod touch, iTunes is always the first choice for you. As the official transfer tool, iTunes can help you transfer music to iPod touch easily.

Step 1. Connect your iPod touch to PC via matched USB cable. Then click the iPod icon on the left corner of the interface. To manage your media files manually, you'd better go to "Options" under "Summary" tab, cancel "Automatically sync when this iPod is connected" and check "Manually manage music and videos". Don't forget to click "Apply" when it's done.
Step 2. Import music into iTunes library from computer by clicking "File" and then "Add File to Library". Once transferred successfully, you can select the music icon on top to see all the songs.
Step 3. Click "Music" under "Settings" tab. Choose "Sync Music". You can either sync entire music library or selected playlists as you like. Then click "Sync" button at the bottom to transfer music from computer to iPod.

<img src="200px-ipod_touch_4g.png" /> How to put a YouTube video into your ipod? As we know that the iPod plays videos only a handful of video formats, none of which are overly common for standard sized videos (.mov, MPEG-4). Most torrents are AVI videos, and it would be easy to lose the HD quality of a Blue-Ray when converting to MP4 format or other accepted formats.<br /> If downloading YouTube videos, FLV is the format of choice-which does not play on iPod unless directly connected to YouTube.<br /> So you need to you find out some way to convert video you download if you ipod can not read this video and then put it to your iPod.<br /> As with everything on the Internet, there are like 10 different ways to do this! You can either download a YouTube video as an FLV file and then convert the FLV to MP4 through by the converter software. Or you can use some free online tools to do the whole thing for you!<br /> I tried many ways to do that. By far the easiest way to do this is using a ipod touch video converter software to put youtobe video into ipod.<br /> Here I will show you <a href="http://www.dvdtoipodtouch.biz/dvdtoipodtouchguide/how-to-put-youtube-video-on-ipod.html">how to put youtube video on ipod touch</a>.<br /> <img src="downloadvideos.jpg" /><br /> To begin with the conversion, you need to select your your favorite videos on the Youbube and download the video on your computer.<br /> Step 1: After the download finished. Install <a href="http://www.dvdtoipodtouch.biz/">DVD to iPod touch</a> software and run this software.<br /> Step 2: When you come into the main interface, you can note two menu bottoms with 'video to ipod' and 'dvd to ipod'. Just click 'video to ipod'<br /> Step 3: Click the 'Open file' to import the video you want to convert and Click 'Output' to set up the file you want to put the video after conversion. When you finish this setting, click 'Convert' to start converting video to iPod MP4 or H264 files.<br /> Note: Before converting, you can click 'Advance -&gt; Video settings' to set 'Video format', 'Resolution', 'Framerate', 'Output Quality'. If you'd like to convert video to H264 files, please set 'Video format' to 'H.264 FQ Variable Bitrate'. 'MPEG4(.mp4) FQ Variable Bitrate' is the default value. Certainly, you can also set 'Audio Bitrate', 'Channels', 'Sample Rate' and 'Volume' in 'Audio Settings' page.<br /> Step 4: When the conversion completed. How to sync .ipa files from comp to iphone thru itunes ?

when you sync the iPhone with the computer, iTunes will only add what is new, it will not delete your apps.

Setting Up Syncing You use iTunes on your computer to set up which items are synced. Make sure you have the most recent version of iTunes (On a PC, open iTunes and choose Help > Check for Updates. On a Mac, open iTunes and choose iTunes > Check for Updates.
Step 1: Connect iPhone or iPod touch
  1. Connect iPhone or iPod touch to your computer using the included cable. You can connect the cable from your computer directly to iPhone or iPod touch, or connect the cable from your computer to the Apple Universal Dock (available separately) and put iPhone or iPod touch in the dock. By default, iTunes opens automatically.
  2. Select iPhone or iPod touch in iTunes under Devices on the left hand side and click the Info tab.
Step 2: Set Up Which Items Are Synced Click the respective tabs in iTunes to specify which media and information you want synced from your computer to iPhone or iPod touch.
For more information about syncing iPhone with your computer see the iPhone User's Guide:
On your computer: click here to download and view "Chapter 1: Getting Started" in iPhone User Guide.
On iPhone: Tap Safari and view http://help.apple.com/iphone/guide/.
For more information about syncing iPod touch with your computer:
On your computer, click here to download and view "Chapter 1: Getting Started" in iPod touch User Guide.
On iPod touch: Tap Safari and view http://help.apple.com/ipodtouch/guide/.

Step 3: Sync iPhone or iPod touch Click Apply in the lower-right corner of the screen. Your computer syncs with iPhone or iPod touch according to your settings.
The first time you sync iPhone or iPod touch, you are asked if you want to merge data, replace data on the service, or replace the data on your computer. After that, anytime you connect iPhone or iPod touch to your computer, iTunes opens and syncs with iPhone or iPod touch according to your settings.
You can adjust sync settings anytime iPhone or iPod touch is connected to your computer. You can only connect and sync with one iPhone or iPod touch at the same time. If you need to sync more than one iPhone or iPod touch, disconnect one before connecting the other.
Note: Syncing won't delete any contact in Yahoo! Address Book that contains a Messenger ID, even if you've deleted the contact from your address book on iPhone or your computer. To delete a contact containing a Messenger ID, log in to your Yahoo! account online and delete the contact using Yahoo! Address Book.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
