GE Profile WPDH8800 washer pauses after start up.

My GE profile WPDG8800 washer pauses after startup (display reads 2 min gone by but it is actually 5 min into cycle/doesn't matter which cycle). If I dont catch it in time to un pause it shuts off and never lets me know cycle was incomplete. At first I thought it wasn't spinning properly at end of cycle (clothes were soaking wet when I went to unload, but then realized it never washed the clothes.) Help!!

SOURCE: Don't properly spin out clothed leaves them soakng wet-Now it just keeps pausing and locking door and unlocking door without washing

sounds like there is a pumping/blockage problem. check the filter and all drain hoses/outlets. if all clear the pump may be faulty. is the drum turning at all?

SOURCE: GE WBVH6240FWW pause/drain problem

WOW..... That was the easiest repair that I have ever had to do.... We were having the same problems with the washer pausing and have wet clothes when the washer got done. (if it would after prolonged time). The filter was gloged with all kinds of stuff.. But I only made 67 cents.... The screws are on the bottom front down at floor level... you don't even have to move the washer to clean the filter... Had it done in about 15 min. I want to thank everybody above with the info..

You need to remove top cover to get to inlet valve (part where hoses attach). Be careful while testing parts for 120 volts. The inlet valve usually has 2 electric coils on it, some have 3 coils. While the machine is in fill cycle, check for 120 volts across each set of terminals on each coil (round plastic part with 2 terminals at each end). 1 coil is hot water--one is cold water (in some 3 coil valves 3rd coil is warm). If 120 volt is present depending on if machine is on hot or cold, the electronic boards and controls are good. Problem will be with the inlet valve itself and will need replaced. If no voltage, problem may be with control board or wiring.

too much to check. buttons, wiring, open circuits, fuses. what was it doing when it went off? that may give you a pointer as to where to start looking.

the spin cycle is run by a belt-I'd say something is stuck like the drum or you just have a bad belt or probably both. you'll have to do a tear down to see for sure-to check bearing in tube try to turn by hand to see if its tightCheers-Denny

Faulty stop pause button on ge profile wpre8150

This is caused by a faulty control board. The button you referred to is part of the board and the control board manages all aspects of the wash cycle. You will need to replace the control board. Here is a link to the part you need.

F27 came up nearing the end of the spin cycle and just stops after it's spun but doesn't finish and release.

Close the washer and press the START/PAUSE/Cancelbutton to remove error displayed and restart the cycle. If it doesn't work, it means thatthe valve at the water entry needs to be replaced..

Hope this helps..

For the clicking if the fridge has been off for at least 5 min. and clicks when it tries to start then it may be the start relay on the compressor . If it does not stay off for at least 5 min then it may be the control which may also be why your display is not working.
