Your DVD drive is missing the Burning Program not the driver. I found an update for your windvd software for windows 7 but you probably have to have the full program installed to run the update. Hope this helps.
extremely difficult because of copy write protection. Requires special software and not all of it works all the time. Look for software on the internet. You will find some free programs to try. The illegal guys have made it hard for those who buy legitimate and just want to copy their own stuff.
Have you tried booting to Windows XP CD (you should have received by Dell initially. If it's ok than you have some filter driver installed in windows that may be causing the issue. If booting from CD does not work either I'd suggest a replacement. Either call Dell or find one on ebay - I can provide link if you like.
