Hi there. i have a panasonic dvd-s53 , the power supply ic1021 is blown up , i need to know the number please. thank you.

I am not totally sure since you may not be able to read the number on the original IC - however C0DACZH00006 appears to be one number for Panasonic IC 1021 reference. (this is for the DVD-S47 but it seems to be standard type for this series).

I suggest you contact an authorised service centre or Panasonic directly, and provide the above number IC to them - along with the DVD player model number - if this turns out to be correct, you can go ahead and order the part. Not too expensive and it is not a surface-mounted component. It is available. I also recommend that you replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the SMPS - as several may have leaked, causing the demise of the IC. Don't just replace the IC - and touch up any dodgy solder joints in this circuit.

See how you go. No power supply is irreparable.

Our panasonic dvd recorder keeps "saying" self check for days now. We can't use the machine. Nothing works. We put off the electric and put it on again. With no result. What can we do?

From experience - it is probably the main IC (IC1) in the power supply - it may have become defective somehow, or been partially destroyed by an increase in voltage going to it. The power supply is the biggest problem area in this series of DVD recorder (the Panasonic DMR-E55 is another model which has a similar problem). My suggestion would be to check every component within this ciruit for leakage, short circuit/open circuit, as well as the IC itself before replacing any parts. The number on the IC should be type STRxxxxx (whatever the number is) and this device should have 5 pins or more. I also recommend replacing all of the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply to ensure long-term reliability.

1- Panasonic 7'' monitor model # CQ-VA707WEUC 2- Panasonic brain model #YEPOFX3799 I NEET THE id CODE

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
