I changed the rubber pully and used a small rubber band. The problem still exist as the tray will not move. When I hit the reject button I get on the screen "OPEN" and then "NO DISC" even though I have a disc in the tray.

    ould it be something else?

    Thx

There's a black band that connects the motor to the pulley that opens the drawer.....this band has been burst.

easy to replace by using a small rubber band.

just finished doing this with my one.

now the drawer opens and closes ok.

CD/DVD Drive Tray problems
There are two ways to open the CD/DVD drive door if the button just below the drive tray does not work.
Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject.
If this does not work then you can manually open the CD/DVD drive tray by -
Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drive tray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive tray pops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CD/DVD disc.
If you still having problem opening with the Eject button, then the CD/DVD drive is faulty and needs replacing.

DVD will not eject

To eject a disc.
  1. Use the eject option in the menu bar by selecting open from the drop down menu.
  2. Press the eject or F12 key on the keyboard.
  3. Open the drive face plate and insert the end of a paperclip into the small hole under the drive tray area. This will pop the tray open.

Cd/dvd drive doesn't work. Won't open with eject button, How can I determine if it is a driver or hardware problem?

Look at the drive there should be a tiny pin hole near the eject button, insert a needle (safety pin, sewing, etc.) into the pin hole and push this opens the drive.
You can also try opening my computer and right clicking the DVD drive and select eject. After you do this close the drive and try the button again it may just be stuck if it still won't eject you can try and pop off the front of the drive (very simple it locks back on easily) and find the place where the button connects to the drive to eject and push it, If it still won't open it is your hardware.

Rio HT2030 disc loader will not open

I have had the same problem. There is a rubber ban that acts as a drive belt to open and close the disc loader. i took the cover off and then the disc loader cover off to expose the bubber ban. Then i replaced it using two rubber bans from my daughter's braces and reassembled. Works great again.

Go Video DVD will not eject

this suggestion made on this forum worked great for me.
I don't care if it does sound silly.. smack the unit smartly over the eject tray when you press the eject button.

Tray will not eject on LTR 16102B CD-RW

Most likely due to a worn belt. You can use a paper clip in the manual eject hole while pressing the button repeatedly to get it open. The belt or the drive will need to be replaced.

The dvd player will not eject the dvd

We once had 2 DVDs in the tray (thanks, kids). The tray would not open and had similar symptoms.

We eventually pulled/pried-open the tray (while it was attempting to open by itself, aka you could hear the try motor was activating.)

I'm sure a tech would cringe at this, but it did eventually pop open (with our aggressive help) - and all is well.

Good luck.

DVD drawer will not open

I had the same problem with mine and what I had to do was take off the outer case and unscrew the 4 screws that hole down the dvd player in side the unit and left them out.
For some reason it was binding on the dvd player and would not let the tray slide out.
Hope this will help you out off the mean time.

Disc Tray Will Not Eject

Just next to the eject button on the actual recorder there should be a tiny pinhole.  If you use a small paperclip and insert it, then push, you should be able to manually eject the DVD.  Hope this helps!
