Believe it or not, if you tap the locking mechanism from the top softly with a rubber mallet when legrest is being held in lock position it can fix the problem.

Drive enigma SD2 angle of arms on footplate not far enough forward

Footrest/legrest come made with different angles. Their are standards of 60, 70, 80, and 90 degree angles. The lower the number the more the footrest/legrest stick out from the chair. You would need to put an angle gage on the angled tubing and get your angle before knowing what you might be able to get. There are also adjustable angle legrest that can be adjusted as needed without using any tools.

Invacare leg rests stuck in upright posistion

This happens for a lot of reasons. Try using something like a small hammer to tap the release lever loose. If the bar that slides to hold the footrest is bent or badly nicked, consider replacing that part from a place like Ocelco.com.

The black tires consistently scuff the floors very badly. Do you have any solutions for this problem? Is it possible to replace these wheels with the gray wheels?

You have correctly answered your own question. The black rubber tires tend to scuff and marr floors especially when they are hot or dirty. There are tires made from a gray non-marring material made out of denser polyurethane. If you replace the wheel assemblies, it may not be cost effective on an economy wheelchair. The existing wheels may have a molded on tire which cannot be replaced. You may be able to replace the tire only if the tires are "snap on" like a rubber band. This is a cost effective solution which can be done by a wheelchair dealer or bike shop. Call around locally to find someone who can do this. Hope this helps

The legs supports are fixed and are in a down position... I have need for a raised leg support on right leg

The elevating Legrest for the right leg is available from The Aftermarket Group. com. This company is owned by Invacare and sells to the retail customer. Once you are on the website click on wheelchair parts, front rigging, Legrest assemblies:
Scroll down to Invacare Patriot 18" to 20" wide, RP 151009 , Legrest assembly, cam lock, black padded calf pad, heel loop, right. Confirm from the picture and description that this is what you want and order it. There is a handle at the pivot shown in the picture to adjust the angle up or down on the elevation. There is tool free adjuster for your leg length. Hope this helps.

My wheelchair dose not move

The chair has two levers, one for each motor, that disengage it for freewheeling, or pushing the chair without power. These take it out of gear. Place the levers in the locked, gear-engaged position and it should go for you. Here's a link for the manual for your chair, and it will show you where the location is to place it in gear.http://www.invacare.com/doc_files/1125085J.pdf

Wheelchair Question

Nowadays, wheelchairs can be cheap to purchase and are widely available, so choosing a wheelchair can be confusing. Somebody using the wheelchair independently will require a self propelling (large wheels) model they push themselves.

A self propelled, or transit wheelchair (smaller wheels) will be appropriate if the wheelchair will be pushed by an attendant. A folding wheelchair is a good choice for occasional use as they can easily be dismantled, folded and transported by car. It is much easier for the disabled to get around independently than it used to be, and there are two types of wheelchair on the market that come with an engine. Motorized scooters and motorized wheelchairs.

Motorized scooters can negotiate curbs and road crossings easily and does not need much physical strength making it easier for elderly people to use.

The motorized / power wheelchairs were designed for people who have very limited mobility, this is powered by a joystick in one hand for easy use. This product is can also negotiate with curbs and road crossings reasonably easily.

You should choose this type of wheelchairs if you are an independent person who would not like help with it. Realize again that these are less maneuverable than self-propelling chairs. Notice that you will not be able to fit these in most cars although you can fit them in modified vehicles.
