Follow the path in the error message above by going to start, then computer , then C: then find the folder named "ProgramData" and in that folder find another folder named "Microsoft" and in that folder find one called "Windows" and in that folder find one called "Start Menu" . You will be missing one of these folders most likely the Start Menu folder when you find the one you do not have , create a new folder with the name of the missing folder in the correct folder that it is listed in in the error message. Now try to install the program agian. If that dosent work than you may have some how deleated some folders. If you cannot install then you need to insert you operating system install disk and choose reapire or you could also try a system restore to a time when your computer was working correctly. Then try to install office agian. Also office has a installation troubleshooter that may be able to fix it for you I would try that before a system restore or repair.
If you purchased a physical copy of the Microsoft Office Suite, the key
should be printed on the outside of the case that the office CDs came
If you purchased a digital copy of the Microsoft Office Suite, the key should be on your receipt or in your email.
you did not purchase the software, you can purchase the newest version
here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/ or from your local office
supply store, electronics store, or wal-mart/Target/K-mart type store.
you are looking to get Office functionality WITHOUT purchasing the
software (read: free), please try a free, legal, open source software
from openoffice.org. This software is completely free, is meant to be
distributed to the public for free, is regularly updated, and is
supported very well. It will allow you to read and edit microsoft word
(and excel, powerpoint, and publisher) files.
The message is clear: Microsoft Office 2007 cannot refuses to install on Windows 2000 Pro. You need a newer version of Windows (Windows XP or newer) to have MS Office 2007 work properly. Alternatively you can install Office 97 on Windows 2000 Pro.
You need to purchase the software to get a legal license. Try OpenOffice if you want free software. It work just like Microsoft, but is free. Go to: http://www.openoffice.org/ for the free download. This is a full version and not a trial.

If you have a bootleg copy of the software, there is nothing that can be done for you. You must not have the program installed on other computers. You must purchase an original Microsoft CD. No product key is required for the trial period, unless that has changed in Office 2007. Did you purchase a new computer with office 2007 installed already?
If u have MS Office installation disc then insert it in Computer . Then open My Computer double on inserted disc ( disc you have inserted ) then installation dialog box will open . After that click on "Repair" Wait till the installation is ended. Then restart the Computer.
