Question about Ulead VideoStudio 9

Lose sound from VSP file to DVD when burning!

Back in September I had a problem which would not allow me to burn a "dual layer" DVD. So to get around the problem I tried to split the entire project onto three DVD discs. One of the DVD's that I now burn loses the sound from my VSP file when I go through the "share" process to burn the DVD. This particular "project" originated from two VCR tapes, when I play the 'project' on my computer with the editor, everything is fine. When I go through the 'share' process, the first part loses the original tape sound (keeps the narration) on the burned disc, but the second part keeps both the original tape sound and the narration. What is going on? Thank you in advance, Ed Bahlmann

SOURCE: problem with making image file and burning disc

Hello my friend, regarding on your problem if you are using nero, try to see the available disk space in your c or d partitions on your computer where your temporary image is being temporary save while waiting on the final burning process. Then try to burn or write again the file you want to burn and if the problem is the same i recommend that reinstallation of your buring software is require to fix any errors probably by the software itself.
Hope this advice helps your problem. If you need more assistance just reply to this post.

Will not burn Dual Layer DVD. When movie is larger than will fit on a single layer DVD. burning fails on a dual layer DVD.

Your DVD burner must support dual layer burning to burn a dual layer disc.

OR

You can use the free software "DVDShrink"to shrink a dual layer disc data. The output from DVDShrink can be saved as files on your hard drive, which you can then burn with software of your choice.

Hope it helps.

Can't burn dual layers?

You need:
* a DVD-writer that can burn dual-layer,
* a "blank" disk that supports dual-layer writing,
* software that supports dual-layer writing.

Got all these? Which software? What brand of DVD-writer? What brand of DL media?

Hi : I have a HP Pavillion a1218n (P4) computer that is about three years old. I would like to burn data to 8.5 GB Dual Layer - Single sided DVD storage media disks. My CD/DVD burner : burns, flip, burn...

Greetings,
Your dvd drive is not capable of burning a dual layer disc. You need to have a burner that is capable of sending the laser through to the second layer of the disc. That said you can get a DL burner for around 30 dollars. Click HERE to see one from Newegg.com.
I am not sure what you mean by 'burns, flip, burn dvds.' but if you make another comment I will respond.
Take Care,

HP DVD 740e wont burn Dual Layers anymore!

Try re-installing the software associated with the burner, so it installs the necessary drivers and files needed for the burner to work according to your needs.

Also check the connections and cables... sometimes moving it around causes the cables to loose some contacts.

Hope this helps...

Can't Burn Dual-Layer Disks

First, be sure your DVD burner is capable of burning dual-layered discs- Second, it may be rather an issue of copy protection on the disc. Have you succesfully copied commercial DVD's in this fashion? I'm unsure if I'm allowed to mention any software that might assist you in that regard- google is your friend.
