all options should be in the bios/cmos - Maybe if I understood more about what exactly you are trying to do I might be able to help more.

I lost my CD for D-Link Rangebooster N USB Adapter & a driver for Window 7

Go to this page:

http://www.dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/support/product/dwa-140-wireless-n-usb-adapter?revision=us_reva

select your "revision" A or B, it should say on the device. The selection box is on the right side of the page.

For revision B just download the most recent driver, it has the windows 7 driver in the package. For revision A, just use the windows vista driver for the bit level of operating system you have (32 or 64 bit) in the most recent driver for revision A.

once you have the zip, just extract it, then plug in the device, when it asks for the drivers point it at the extracted files.

Where can i download a config utility for my D-LINK AIRPLUS DWL-G510 ADAPTER

Here is the site for the driver.
http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=DWL-G510&rev=DWL-G510

Dlink does not have a configuration utility for this device, so it may be that there was not one offered. Instead you can use the zero configuration utility with Windows XP.

It also states that this device has been discontinued; the driver is the 1st release driver and has not been updated.

select the DWL-G510 driver to download it, or if you have the h/w rev.2 click the FAQ and select the option for a missing "wlanapi.dll" file. There is an updated driver for this revision on the link to that FAQ resolution. For ease of use it is here:
http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=DWL-G510&rev=DWL-G510_revB

Good luck and I hope this helps.

I have lost my disk and need to program a password, due to nieghbours using my wireless. How do I do this

Hi evan,

Basically you don't need a CD if you want to change the password or put a password on the network all you need to do is to access the Wireless Settings Page of the Router and put or change the Network Key. To access your router you need a working computer connected to the router then open a Browser then type 192.168.0.1. the Username is admin and the password is blank. Go the the Wireless Settings Page and under Wireless Security Mode you can change the Security Mode to either WEP, WPA or WPA2 then input your desired password.

Rate me if this helps so i can help others.

Thanks for using Fixya.

I have a hp pavilion dv6500 notebook pc which is having problems holding a charge. I recently replaced the power adapter with a 65 Watt power adapter and same problem. Not sure the wattage of the original...

start with removing the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery from device manager. Right click my computer > manage > device manager. right click unistall the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery.
If that doesn't work look for a BIOS update on the HP website. Known issue with this series.

I cannot activate my Dell Wireless 5720 Sprint Mobile Broadband (EVD0 Rev-A) minicard. Can anyone help me?

Hi,

There are three places I can think of.

1. In the BIOS (Boot up and press F2 to go into BIOS, find the wireless on/off setting)
2. Function (Fn) key + F2 to toggle between wireless / no wireless
3. A physical toggle switch on the left of the laptop next to the PCMCIA slot, signified by a wireless symbol (antenna with radio waves around it).
Hope one of these helps. If none of the above, try installing the proper drivers from the Dell website and try again.
Cheers.

How do set the D-Link with security?

If you're referring to wireless security you just need to follow the appropriate guide for your router.

There are 3 revisions so make sure you double check your router for the exact revision before you choose one.

The guides are HERE.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Wireless cardbus adapter

Hi,

To be able to download the appropriate driver, you need to specify the revision of the DWL-G650 (Rev A, Rev B or Rev C. Rev B has 5 sub revisions while C has two).

Pls go here and enter "DWL" thereafter "G650" and then click on the revision number of your unit.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Dont worry you can download from D-Link's website. However you need to choose correct Revision (Rev A or Rev B) before download. Its very clearly indicated on the website. You can proceed to links;

driver for Revision B
http://support.dlink.com/products/view.asp?productid=DWL%2DG510%5FrevB

If you dont know what revision you have you can check these links

Hi Sabka, You didn?t mention which revision adaptor you had or what operating system you needed drivers for but Rev A supports Windows XP, ME, 2000 and 98; Rev B supports Win XP, 2000 and 98. Click on the link below and select the rev A or B link then download your driver(s). http://support.dlink.com/products/revision.asp Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate the posting.
