How to Fix Sensapi.dll ErrorsImportant: Do not download sensapi.dll from a "DLL download" website. There are many reasons why downloading a DLL file is a bad idea. If you need a copy of sensapi.dll, it's best to obtain it from its original, legitimate source.

Note: Start Windows in Safe Mode to complete any of the following steps if you're unable to access Windows normally due to the sensapi.dll error.

  1. Restore sensapi.dll from the Recycle Bin. The easiest possible cause of a "missing" sensapi.dll file is that you've mistakenly deleted it.

If you suspect that you've accidentally deleted sensapi.dll but you've already emptied the Recycle Bin, you may be able to recover sensapi.dll with a free file recovery program.

Important: Recovering a deleted copy of sensapi.dll with a file recovery program is a smart idea only if you're confident you've deleted the file yourself and that it was working properly before you did that.

  2. Run a virus/malware scan of your entire system. Some sensapi.dll errors could be related to a virus or other malware infection on your computer that has damaged the DLL file. It's even possible that the sensapi.dll error you're seeing is related to a hostile program that's masquerading as the file.

  3. Use System Restore to undo recent system changes. If you suspect that the sensapi.dll error was caused by a change made to an important file or configuration, a System Restore could solve the problem.

  4. Reinstall the program that uses the sensapi.dll file. If the sensapi.dll DLL error occurs when you use a particular program, reinstalling the program should replace the file.

Important: Try your best to complete this step. Reinstalling the program that provides the sensapi.dll file, if possible, is a likely solution to this DLL error.

  5. Update the drivers for hardware devices that might be related to sensapi.dll. If, for example, you're receiving a "The file sensapi.dll is missing" error when you play a 3D video game, try updating the drivers for your video card.

Note: The sensapi.dll file may or may not be related to video cards - this was just an example. The key here is to pay very close attention to the context of the error and troubleshoot accordingly.

  6. Roll back a driver to a previously installed version if sensapi.dll errors began after updating a particular hardware device's driver.

  7. Run the sfc /scannow System File Checker command to replace a missing or corrupt copy of the sensapi.dll file. If this DLL file is provided my Microsoft, the System File Checker tool should restore it.

  8. Install any available Windows updates. Many service packs and other patches replace or update some of the hundreds of Microsoft distributed DLL files on your computer. The sensapi.dll file could be included in one of those updates.

  9. Test your memory and then test your hard drive. I've left the majority of hardware troubleshooting to the last step, but your computer's memory and hard drive are easy to test and are the most likely components that might cause sensapi.dll errors as they fail.

If the hardware fails any of your tests, replace the memory or replace the hard drive as soon as possible.

  10. Repair your installation of Windows. If the individual sensapi.dll file troubleshooting advice above is unsuccessful, performing a startup repair or repair installation should restore all Windows DLL files to their working versions.

  11. Use a free registry cleaner to repair sensapi.dll related issues in the registry. A free registry cleaner program may be able to help by removing invalid sensapi.dll registry entries that might be causing the DLL error.

Important: I rarely recommend the use of registry cleaners. I've included the option here as a "last resort" attempt before the destructive step coming up next.

  12. Perform a clean installation of Windows. A clean install of Windows will erase everything from the hard drive and install a fresh copy of Windows. If none of the steps above correct the sensapi.dll error, this should be your next course of action.

Important: All the information on your hard drive will be erased during a clean install. Make sure you've made the best attempt possible to fix the sensapi.dll error using a troubleshooting step prior to this one.

  13. Troubleshoot for a hardware problem if any sensapi.dll errors persist. After a clean install of Windows, your DLL problem can only be hardware related.

Applies To

The sensapi.dll error message could apply to any program or system that might utilize the file on any of Microsoft's operating systems including Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.

SOURCE: windows>\system32\hal.dll. corrupt

HAL.DLL Missing or Corrupt

If you get an error regarding a missing or corrupt hal.dll file, it might simply be the BOOT.INI file on the root of the C: drive that is misconfigured

Insert and boot from your WindowsXP CD.
At the first R=Repair option, press the R key
Press the number that corresponds to the correct location for the installation of Windows you want to repair.
Typically this will be #1
Type bootcfg /list to show the current entries in the BOOT.INI file
Type bootcfg /rebuild to repair it
Take out the CD ROM and type exit

Have them put the Windows CD in, and run sfc /scannow.

If that doesn't fix it, time to do a wipe and reload.  don't mess around with viruses or spyware any more, just reinstall win..

SOURCE: When i try and install lets say anti virus it will

probably itz either minor case of software corruption/improper ground/cpu fan..
or major case of faulty or defective main board/ram/daughter or addon card(s)..

..plz do check the following as in order:..
the Hardware part:..
1)see if the ram(s) is loose/faulty..open clean/remove carbon & or oxide formed on the teeth with an eraser n resit it..or replace with a standby n see..

2) 4) a) see if ur hdd is noisy or emitting any 'ticking' noise (like 'tuk tuk' or 'kirr kirr')..
b) or if the system is not supporting either the newly installed device or itz software/driver /firmware
if so, u need either a fresh os installation or ur hdd is likely to b replaced..

3)remove/clean dust neatly..dust is non-uniform in nature n may cause jam/short circuitry/excess resistance n many more..resulting an increase in heat..

4) open the CPU Heat-Sink with fan out of the socket..put some "Heat Sink Compound" (available in local electronics chip level spare market) between the cpu/processor and the CPU Heat Sink *** fan..resit/fit it tightly in position..

5) on main/mother board..see with a debug card for mb error..may b short..look for defective capacitors(esp above1000mfd)/mosfets..go through the mb's south bridge n the circuit lie around atx connector..the crystal clock generator (if cpu isn't heating up)..

6) [in case of desktop] the smps itself may b defective/faulty..check the outputs of smps viz. 0v (black~ground); +12v (yellow); +5v (red, green~ps-on, violet~pg & grey~sb); -12v (blue); -5v(white); +3.3v(orange)..the 'oscillator and error amplifier ic', or pwm switching regulator circuit..look for defective protector-transformer/resistance(esp 4.7k)/mosfet..
check the battery [both main power & cmos], in case of laptops..

the Software part:..
1) hv a licensed and UPDATED antivirus installed (i prefer avg/kaspersky, remember, without updation a full version antivirus is useless)..

2) download, install n run microsoft kb890830..http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=AD724AE0-E72D-4F54-9AB3-75B8EB148356&displaylang=en..

4) remove all unnecessary software from add/remove programs..

5) download, install n run 'Advanced System Care Pro'..http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Pro/3000-2086_4-10399324.html..

SOURCE: I try to run the game, Momento Mori, on my HP 64

Hi,

The d3dx9_37.dll error is a DirectX 9 problem. It could be missing or corrupt.
DO NOT download the file from dll download sites because there could be many different reasons why this error occurs.

First of all restart the computer if you haven't already done so as the error could be a one time only issue. Most games require you to restart anyway. Do so even if you are not prompted.

Secondly, if the problem persists try reinstalling the game as it could have been a bad install in the first place.
Also you can download DirectX from Microsoft.com, search for DirectX End-User Runtime. Download and install it. This usually resolves the error.

Have you tried doing a file search for nvdesk32.dll on your c: drive? You may find it in another folder. If you find it in another folder just copy and paste it to the c:\windows\system32 folder. Good luck.

HP Pavilion dv9910us Entertainment PC Internet Problems Hello. Internet Service Provider: Comcast OS: Windows Vista Router Used: Netgear Security: WPA Duration of Problem: 4 months This problem has been persistent ever since I purchased my HP Pavilion dv9910us Entertainment PC (August 3, 2008). Summary: I was able to access ALL Internet sites wirelessly at home via Firefox (my preferred Internet browser) for two weeks after I bought it. Then (for whatever reason), I could only access SOME Internet sites wirelessly via Firefox (such as sciencedaily.com, acc.edu, google.com). I could not access sites like Wikipedia, answers.com, Youtube, etc. Once I hooked the laptop directly to the router, I could access all Internet sites again. That eventually stopped working and, in essence, I can't access the Internet as efficiently as I'd like to at home. Now, when I try to access a Internet site like del.icio.us, it will attempt to load the page forever until you manually stop it. It never says "Cannot Access Site" or "Internet Time Reset" or whatever. It is simply a blank white page with the words "Loading..." on the top. However, if I access a site like sciencedaily.com, it'll go straight to the page as fast as possible. Notes: My uncle, my aunt, and my father were all able to access all Internet sites with iPhones and laptops without problem. It is only my laptop that is having problem having access to all Internet sites. I have no problem whatsoever logging on to my home and other wireless networks. For instance, I can access my school's network easily and have access to all Internet sites (with the exception of those blocked by a filter). My laptop indicates that I am, indeed, accessed to the Internet even at home. It has nothing to do with Java or Javascript. My uncle and I both enabled and disabled it to test whether it had any effect. It didn't. It has nothing to do with a specific browser. My uncle and I used both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. It made no difference; the results were the same. My brother attempted to re-enter all the numbers (ISP, DNS, etc.). For some reason, Vista makes it difficult for you to manually do such things. I believe he mentioned something about a problem with the DNS. Then again, I'm not sure. The laptop is recognized as a connected computer when I review the Gateway Summary. My laptop is also listed on the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) and Wireless Process Filter. Solution: I hope to God someone can address this problem. I'm in college, and I don't have time to spend 6 hours working with this laptop. I can't send it to a technician either considering I have to have it for class. Please help!!
