96, ford mustang, after market radio installation help! where to plug the amp remote wire for amp

The blue wire is a triggering wire of a low amp power for Amps or a power antenna. If it draws too much power (gets hot), use a relay for more power directly off the battery.
e,g..2 amp radio output and if the amps need 1.5 amp each that's 3 amp. Need a a relay.

How do I wire in a amp meter please

amp meters are wired in series in a power circuit
that is to say cut the wire and attach each end of the wire to the terminals of the amp meter
you have to know the amps in the circuit to get an amp meter large enough to read the current or it will burn out
( a 60 amp meter for a 120 amp power wire is not right)
in that case you can get an amp meter that runs a resistance in the back of the unit and as volts and amps are directly related by reading the voltage drop across the resistance the current (amps) can be read
That allows a small amp meter with a high face reading to be attached to a large current wire 10000 amps etc
you can also get amp meters that have a crab claw clip that goes around the power wire and by reading the flux field voltage converts that to an amp reading without touching the wire ( used by electricians to check current draw in electrical motors etc )

Stereo remote wire won't power on amp sony mex

The easiest check is unhook the remote turn on wire from the amp and use a small jump wire to bridge the 12dvc input of the amp and the remote turn on connector of the amp. If the amp powers on there is an issue with the remote turn on connection either a bad wire or bad output. If the amp doesn't turn on there is an issue in the amp wiring or the amp itself.

What size wire and how does it hook to thr unit rpkb-036jaz

Look at rating plate on side of unit for Volts, Amps, Watts.
Volts x amps = watts.
If unit is 240Volts, then you need double-pole 240Volt breaker
If unit is 8500 watts at max power, then 8500 watts divided by 240Volts = 35 amps.

What size breaker for 35 amps?
When electricians figure load rating for breakers, they use the 80% rule.
40 amp breaker x 80% = 32 amp safe maximum load for 40 amp breaker. Use 8 gauge wire with 40 amp breaker.
50 amp breaker x 80% = 40 amp safe maximum for 50 amp breaker. I use 6 gauge wire with 50 amp breaker.
60 amp breaker x 80% = 48 amp safe maximum for 60 amp breaker. Again, use 6 gauge wire with 60 amp breaker.

How to connect wires to unit.
First of all, all outdoor HVAC units require power cut off located next to unit.
This lets the mechanic, or service tech turn power off to work on unit, even if the mechanic does not have access to main breaker box.

Next, open unit to see where wires connect.
If unit has wires, then connect both hot wires from 240 breaker to the wires inside unit. Connect bare ground wire to green ground screw.
If unit has terminals. The terminals will be labeled L1 L2. Connect each hot wire from 240Volt breaker to either one of the screw terminals. Then bare ground goes to green ground screw.

Copy following links for basic illustrations connecting wires to terminals, and to breakers, and selecting wire size.

How to hook up the wiring on the crunch 520.5 need to know the gage for power

Hello,
  • I would go with some good 8 gauge. More than that for this amp would be overkill and a waste. Many people thing thicker wire is better but that is not the case. To thick of wire to the power feed can draw to much power and send the amp into protect mode. Also to thick of wire with an insufficient amount of power can actual hamper the amps true abilities.
  • Use stranded copper wire not solid copper wire for the best results of conductivity.
  • Make sure to run a 50 amp fuse inline with the power wire right off the battery. Amps surge and it is far easier to replace a $1 fuse than components inside your amp.
  • Your ground is best served running to a bolt in the floorboard. Using the same size, style and quality as your power wire is recommended.
  • Your remote wire will connect to the remote wire running from the back of your deck. The remote wire enables your amp to shut off when your deck is shut off. A simple 16 gauge stranded copper wire will suffice for the remote wire.
  • I recommend hooking the speakers up using one speaker per channel. I don't bridge amps really. If you want more power then buy a bigger amp.
  • The AV cords will go from your deck to your amp right to right and left to left.
  • That's the way to wire your amp.

Regards, Tony

How to hook up an amp to a car

remote turn on wire( blue/white) from stereo to amp. RCAs from stereo ( sub out) to amp. Power wire (fused) from battery to amp. Ground wire from clean, paint free chassis to amp. Speaker wire from amp to speaker. ( simplied version). Do you have an amp kit? All the wires, connectors and the fuse will be included in the amp kit. They are rated for the amps power output; 0,4,8 gauge.

Have 2 4+4ohm avi sl500 subs how do i wire it to this amp and what setings on this amp alpine mdr m1005 1000watt amp

using these subs will limit you to a 4 oh load to the amp witch will only let the amp produce half of it's power. the lowest ohm load that amp can handle is 2 ohm and the next lowest you can wire the subs is 1 ohm and that will over heat the amp and destroy it. so to answer your question first wire each sub like this diagram shows...
Wiring Option #1
1_4ohmdvc_2ohm.gif
then once both subs are wired this way you wire both positives from each sub to the positive side of the amps speakers terminals and wire each subs neg. to the amps neg speakers terminal. the wire is series parrelle and will present a 4 ohm load witch will be the safest to run with your amp.

What wires do i need to hook up 2 kicker solobaric s15l7 to a car

You will need the amp wires. Red Positive to battery, Black negative from amp ground to unpainted car body surface, and the blue remote wire that goes from amp to remote wire on back of cd deck.
Then you will need the rca cables from rear output of cd player to the amp.
Then just the positive and negative wire from speaker to amp. Use Speaker Positive wire to Amp Right Channel Positive
And speaker negative wire to amp Left Channel Legative wire.
That is it.

03 impala there is a factory installed amp all speakers. i am trying to find out if i can power another amp 760w pioneer form the amp that is already there? i have already put outputs for my RCA wires. can...

You might not want to do that. The 760W Pioneer amp might require larger wire due to the power consumption of the amp. Most amplifiers require a direct wire from the battery to the amp. The power wire for the factory amp might not require very large wire and if you tie into the power for that amp the fuse could blow and wiring in your car could melt or catch fire, The best installation is to run the recommended guage wire from the battery directly to the amp with a properly rated in-line fuse.

HOOKING UP 2 AMPS

Ideally you would use 1/0 gauge power and ground wire for the amps, and use power distribution blocks to reduce it to 4-gauge for each amp. Any smaller wire would be less than ideal for that much amp power.

If you're buying a power wire kit, it most likely won't have a separate distribution block for the ground wire (usually they have separate ground wire for each amp or one piece that's long enough to cut and have wire for both). This is fine, but you should look for a kit with at least 3 feet of ground wire per amp - any shorter and it's a struggle to mount the amp close enough to a ground point. As above, the main power wire to the battery should be 1/0 gauge.

Lastly if a 1/0 gauge kit is not available, 2 separate 4 gauge kits will work, however that's obviously a lot more wire to run and conceal.
