Question about Maytag Dryers

Open Question

Do I have to light a maytag dryer model #MDG7600AWQ?

We just got a brand new gas line installed and have a gas dryer (that was given to us) hooked up. The problem is that no heat is happening. Do we have to "light" gas dryers like a water heater? Thank you for any help!

I have a LG dryer model dlgx3002w not heating.

It sounds like you didn't install the ignitor properly. Try re installing the ignitor, because it's opening the gas valve saying it's hot enough to light, but if it's out of position, it won't create proper combustion.

Mdg7600awq making a loud noise

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

My Maytag Bravos dryer is brand new. It is the quiet series 300, but is the loudest dryer I have ever owned. It makes like a loud vibrating, humming noise. Is this normal? I am now drying my second load of...

People, the first words the poster said were that the dryer was "brand new". All of your suggestions assume the dryer had extensive use. This sounds like a factory defect issue!!!! My brand new Maytag Cabrio gas dryer is also making an obnoxious buzzing sound that seems to cycle on and off as the gas ignites. The buzzing sounds electronic not mechanical. What would buzz when the burner is active?

Try checking the gas valve or the thermostat, voltage go'es from the thermostat first then to the gas valve, and from there to the glow bar. Good luck.

New Maytag gas dryer with long dry times

Double check that vent by finding where it exits your house. It should be blowing pretty hard, like a blow dryer. Guarantee you its a vent issue. Also check that when u push the dryer back against the wall your not crushing the vent. If you have a vent issue. Try sticking a leaf blower in the end that the dryer connects to. Quick fix unless you have a really long vent system. Hope that helps. Dave, www.washermd.com
