Testimonial: "thanks been working on that"
Use third party software to move free space from your D drive to C drive. Windows built-in disk management tool can only shrink D drive, but cannot add the unllocated space to C drive. http://www.extend-partition.com/help/resize-partition.html

1) Delete any programs/applications that you do not use.
DO NOT mess with Windows files!
2) Copy off any documents you have created, or downloaded to make more room.
3) Use a registry cleaner. Everytime you go to a website you pick up cookies.
Harmless, but they take up room.
(When you go back to the website they will be picked up again, anyway)
When you delete programs/applications there are 'tidbits' left behind.
Fragmented files. These also take up needless room.
I use CCleaner. Reasoning?
It's a program that is FREE, and works as well, if not better, than paid for registry cleaners.
Information on Wikipedia,
Click on Download in the green rectangle with the white down arrow.
Go to the left column under the Ccleaner Free heading, then click on
Go to the far right, and click on the blue - Download Latest Version (3.42MB)
A small window will come up on the right.
Click on Save File.
Another small window will come up on the left.
In the heading, the wording tells you where the file will download to.
BEFORE you click on OK;
It may have Desktop, or My Documents, or Downloads, in the wording.
Write it down.
[ For Vista and Win7 it will be Desktop, Documents, and Downloads ]
Desktop: The file will be on your Desktop screen.
My Documents: Click on Start, then My Documents.
[Vista and Win7: Click on the Windows logo button, then Documents ]
Downloads: Click on Start, then My Documents. DOUBLE-click on Downloads.
[ Vista and Win7: Click on the Windows logo button, then Documents.
DOUBLE-click on Downloads ]
When you see the file DOUBLE-click on it. Follow the easy instructions.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:

I would download and run the registry
utility from iobit.com
It is freeware and works then run CHKDSK/F.
Within iobits programme are useful utilities that empty the temporary directories and can remove unwanted old files.
Hope that helps.
