Plug in your usb
Go to my computer
Then you will see portable device or the brand name of your USB
Double click that

Next find your work where it is located.
Pull the USB window that you just got to and the window where all your
work is save and click and drag from your work window to the USB window.

How download sound driver for dell xg260

I don't know why you need the driver. Is the sound not working, did you just re-install an OS? Most likely, the sound is integrated on the motherboard and the driver that you need to get sound may also be integrated in another file to download.

I can get you to all the drivers. If you update the drivers or apply the patches, you may then have sound. But like I said, I don't know what the problem is that you are having. You can find all the drivers here.

Use Clonezilla to backup your drive

In my previous few tips I alluded to using a program called Clonezilla to save an image of your harddrive as a backup. This tip goes through the process for you.

I made a video at the end of this tip that goes through the process step by step. Note that some of your stuff will be different (obviously), but mostly because I am using a virtual machine to do the capture. It's not important if you don't know what that is, just know that I don't actually FINISH the process, because I don't need to. The video gives you a good idea of how to do everything.

First, download clonezilla. You can find the download for the .iso file here. Get the stable release, then on the next page you should see a link to download the latest release. Download the .iso and burn it to a disk using the native windows disk burning app (in win7 and maybe vista), or using a free image burning program such as imgburn or a similar program. Now, insert the disk you just burnt into the computer to be backed up, and boot from it by restarting, then pressing the button to enter the bios boot menu (it should say on the screen as it's booting. If not, try Esc, Del, F1, F2, F7, F11, F12, etc). This will boot to clonezilla. Then, just follow along with the video.

Select disk-image to say you're cloning FROM a disk TO an image. When it asks for a USB disk, plug it in (if you have any problems like I did, you can always go back). Select the disk you are NOT backing up as /partimage...In other words, use your USB disk for /partimage, not your internal disk.

Then, you should be able to just accept the defaults and it will most likely complete without any issues. If you have any problems, there is fairly extensive support available in the clonezilla forum, as well as many other places online.

<utube src="jfHfXJEqzvA">
Usb wont work in 2.0

Go into device manager and look at your Universal Controller Bus (USB). Make sure you don't have any that has a Question Mark or Exclamation Point on them. It looks like somewhere you don't have the correct drivers. Are you sure your USB Ports are 2.0?

When trying to import pictures from my iphone i get the error message the parameter is incorrect

Hi Tiffany,
When you try to import pictures from your phone are you using Samsung PC Studio?(Software CD which is included in your phone packaging) or are you simply connecting via USB cable and using Windows to download the pics?
I'm confident that your import will work if you use Samsung PC Studio.
If you don't have the disc you can download PC Studio from:

Let me know if this doesn't solve your problem. It may also be due to corrupted files.
Best wishes,

Hi there, On your laptop that can get on the internet, go to and download drivers for your Network Card and your Video Card from that site. Make sure you put in the right model number (dimension 2400). Transfer them to a USB key, and move the USB key to your desktop. Install those drivers and everything work will again. You may need to install additional ones as you see other things not working (like audio). If you need more help, let me know. -Alex

My computer crashed so I installed windows xp. The USB ports don't work and neither does the DVD drive

It sounds like you have not installed the chipset driver. Find your cd that came with the pc and install the chipset driver or go on line and download the latest driver.

My ps/2 mouse and keyboard are not working togather when plughed in togather but individually ther work fine

It is possible the ports are going bad, But both at the same time is strange. I don ot know if you know that PS2 is not hot swapable, Which means that you need to completely shut down the system before pluging them in. USB, the system can be on. If you keep having problems i would switch to usb mouse and keyboard,,,Darren

Mic not working

Restart your computer.
If that doesn't work then download the driver for it at the manufacturer's website.
IF those two don't work, check to see if other USB devices will work in the same port.
You can also test it yourself using sound recorder under the accessories tab.
