That problem would either be with your video driver or your video card or both.
I suggest looking up your audio device whether it be a card or onboard.
If its onboard, the manual for your motherboard will have it.
Update the drivers.
If its the video card faultering, i suggest buying a new one that fits your motherboard.
The socket size for your video card will also be found in your motherboard manual.

Userinit.exe application error

Hi again:

I would suggest that you may have a virus / spyware infection that has infected this windows file.

If you can boot into SAFE Mode ( reboot the computer) and when the screen goes to the black background with white writing start pushing F8 - keep doing so until you get a screen that gives you a list of things you can do -
ie:
restart windows normally
safe mode
safe mode w/networking

use the arrow keys on the keyboard and choose to boot into safe mode.- may take a couple of minutes

once there i would suggest running virus / antispyware scans as well as running a BOOT SCAN (a type of virus scan that scans the hard drive before it gets into windows)

NOTE on running virus/spyware scans - ALWAYS QUARANTINE the file infected - DO NOT DELETE - if you delete a critical windows system file you will cause windows to completely crash and in that instance you would have to reformat the hard drive and reinstall everything.

Whenever I connect any removable drive automatically 4 shortcuts got created of control panel.

You have a virus on your PC. Unfortunately, once you have this virus, it usually does not help updating your anti virus and running a scan since the virus is running in the memory of the PC and every infected file the anti virus removes - the virus just puts back again. Try one of two things to remove the virus:

1] First update your anti virus (if you dont have an anti virus, download the free AVG Antivirus and install that and then update it. Click here to go to AVG's website. Once installed - Boot your pc into SAFE MODE. This is VERY important otherwise the virus will load into memory and it wont help running the anti virus to clean the system as the memory resident virus will just replace any infected file that is removed by the scan. To boot your PC into safe mode: Read this article: Click here.

Once you are in safe mode - Open the Anti-virus console and do a complete system scan.

2] Remove the infected hard drive from your PC and install it as a secondary drive in a clean, VIRUS PROTECTED PC!!! ... i.e .. any pc that has the latest anti-virus system installed and is up to date!. Once you have installed the infected drive in the protected PC as a secondary drive, run a scan on the infected drive and remove the virus.

Once you have removed the virus, also scan ANY USB devices on that PC, including any Cameras, cellphones, photo frames, etc that you might have plugged into the infected PC.

Good luck

Computer turns on, no signal to lcd. Hard drive

The blue screen was caused by corrupted drivers or a virus that was corrupting the drivers. Have you tried starting the machine in SAFE mode? To do this press F8 while the computer is starting before Windows loads. You should get a menu with several SAFE mode choices. Select SAFE mode and continue. If the computer works fine at this point, I suggest downloading the following AVGFREE.exe, MALWAREBYTES.exe and SUPERANTISPYWARE.exe. Run these to absolutely eliminate any chance of a virus. Once done go to START, Run and type SFC/scannow. You’ll need to have your original CD’s handy. This will replace any corrupt drivers. Now, what to do if you can’t get into SAFE mode. The question then is anything showing on the screen? If nothing but you can hear the fans but no beep codes I suggest you take the laptop to a reputable repair person or check my website www.micromendllc.com. Good luck.

I powered down my computer because I couldn't get my mouse to work. When I powered it back up nothing booted up! The lights are all on and fans are running, but the monitor isn't getting any signal from...

I beleive that this is a virus. some Viruses corrupt the device settings on a mouse or keyboard. you will to try to boot the computer in safe mode. to this when you tun the computer on press the F8 btton on the keyboard. then select safe mode with networking and hit enter. when the computer boots up you will need to run a virus scan. another option is to take the hard drive out of the computer and put it in another computer and run a virus scan on it. Viruses that usually cause this type of problems are redirect viruses found when searching on google.

Long booting up in takes 2-3 hrs. before my OS start

Two to three hours is a long time! It sounds like your hard drive is getting ready to crash.

If your computer is running, click Start and, in the search box, type

eventvwr

and press enter. (If you have XP, click Start -> Run and type eventvwr).

Under Windows Logs, click System. On the right side, click Source. All the events will sort by source. Scan the list for any "disk" errors. If you are getting disk errors, your hard drive is crashing. You should either take your computer to a competent professional to get the hard drive imaged, or purchase a new hard drive and do the imaging.

Hi! i can understand your problem. It happened to me once. I tried to run the PC in the safe mode but on safe mode it doesn't run the antivirus program. If you have your harddisk of IDE type then connect your friend's hard disk in your PC as a Slave and Yours as a master.
You can do this from your bios setup.
Then Scan his hard disk by your antivirus software and remove all the virus from his Harddisk.

OR else you can reinstall his Windows.

Signal lost usually means the cable is lose that connects the monitor to the back of your computer.
with the computer off and unplugged , disconnect the monitor cable from the video port on the back of the computer and physically inspect the pins to make sure they are not bent on the monitor end.
some monitors have the same plug on both ends , so it doesn't hurt to check the monitor side of the cable.
Once the cable has been checked, if the cover is off the computer, i would check all cables and add-in card to make sure they are fully in thier slots and ports.
check memory for the same issues.
If your monitor is a multi-function device , make sure you didnt forget to hit the source button on it , could be on the wrong input.

Computer laptop problem

Generally, when a firewall or antivirus application fails to load, a virus is the suspect cause. Many viruses are designed to attack/disable the firewall/antivirus as to infect the system. If the operating system has beenn compromised to the point you can only boot in the safe mode, the likelyhood of removing the viruses and still being able to repair the operating system WITHOUT a clean reinstall of Windows is not great.

Things you can try.
  1. If you have more than one computer, see if you can connect this drive to a healthy system, and remove the infection.
  2. Run hardware diagnostics on the hard drive, as a hardware failure can mimic a software problem by files being damaged writing them to bad sectors of the media.
  3. If you can access the internet in safe mode with networking, or can access internet with another system, you can download several programs/tools to try to remove any infections. www.gur,in is one page with a large assortmant of tools to try to use to remove any infection. Sometimes you can install and run these in the safe mode or use safemsi.exe to enable some installers to run in the safe mode.
If the hard drive fails diagnostics then you will have to replace the hard drive. If it passes diagnostics, and attempts to remove infection fail, boot to XP cd, format the hard drive and do a clean install of windows the reinstall all drivers and applicaitons. If the format fails, replace the hard drive
