I don't have sound on my computer yet i have installed sound drivers and they are working well?

check in your control panel and go to systems.
Then go to hardware and under that go to Device Manager
In there see if there are any exclamation marks in your sound hardware,
conflicts and such.
If there are none then go to Sound Controls in Audio Devices and make sure the audio isn't muted in the windows program
Use this to do an audio test of your speakers.
If that isn't working but it should be check your wires to see if there is a break or if it is plugged into the the green colored jack for external speakers.

Wotcha, i've just taken amp out of storage, has'nt been used for a while cant get volume to work properly the sound goes from speaker to speaker and up and down in volume whilst crackeling a lot as...

One way of proving it ISN'T the amp circuitry is to remove the pre-main jumpers and jack in a source that has its own volume control (or try a CD that starts really low) because this bypasses ALL the amps controls. If it sounds ok (albeit LOUD) I'd suspect oxidized contacts on the controls. Turn it off and vigorously operate all controls a zillion times to wear through it. In mosty cases it's the unused controls that fail because they never get wiped. Maybe a shot of contact cleaner on those you can access.

Buttkicker Gamer 2 Amplifier won't turn on, light stays orange when it should be green. used to be a struggle sometimes to get it to turn green by using the remote, now it just stays orange all the...

Your Gamer 2 Amp turns on whenever an audio signal is present on the input. The amp can have trouble tuning on if the output of the source (computer sound card, etc.) has been turned down. This can happen easily if you use amplified speakers - if you turn the sound card's volume control down - and then increase the volume at the amplified speaker - the resulting sound is the same; even though the signal has been lowered. The problem is that the output from the sound card isn't sufficient to turn on the Gamer 2 Amp.

Try turning down the external speaker volume, then bump up the sound card volume. You'll probably need to adjust the other inputs individually (Wave, Mic, CD, etc) so that none is too loud or soft. Once the input values have been set, gradually increase the output of the sound card in the control panel application etc. while decreasing the volume on the amplified speaker to maintain a comfortable level. Eventually, you'll find the correct volume level on the sound card output that will wake up the Gamer 2 Amp.

If you're still having trouble, review the manual, here. I hope this helps & good luck!

Hello! I'm having problems during a phone call with my speaker volume being too low unless speaker phone is on. All other sounds are loud & clear. I've tried resetting & turning the phone...

Did you happen to update to iOS 5? Because since the update. Mine has been the same way. The volume is very low. and sometimes even the speaker isn't too loud either unless I'm playing music.

If you did not update to iOS 5. Then your speaker might be blocked and easily cleaned with a cotton swab, or the speaker is just old and going out.

Radio turns on speakers connected ok but no sound when tuned into any station

Without the make & model of your receiver, I can offer only generic solutions. Turn the volume DOWN to a normal level - if the speakers suddenly turn on it may startle you or damage the speakers.

In no specific order - here's what I suggest to do: Check connections at receiver's speaker terminals and at the speaker's terminals. Note the speaker system (A or B if a choice of terminals are offered). Check and reset or replace any overload device or fuse for the speakers. Make sure the speaker selector switch is set to a valid speaker system A or B (most people have one speaker system and wire speakers to "A" and leave B unused), change it from "Off", "B" or "Phones" to "A". Make sure that the headphone / earphone jack isn't being used. Disable the "Tape Monitor" selection.

If none of the these suggestions worked for you, please provide the receiver make & model. If one did, please rate my reply "very helpful". Thanks!

So after getting my car back for the garage my subwoofer isn't working I checked to make sure all of the connections are correct and the settings are there why won't it work

Check to see if your amp is on. You may have blown a fuse somewhere maybe on your amp. Check for proper voltages and make sure the sub isn't blown by pushing on it. If you feel unequal resistance, you probably blew it. Also check the ohms on the woofer.

I turn on my subwoofer and the volume is turned down and it makes a loud buzzing sound, and its not even hooked up to the amp, just pluged in. Thank you, Joel Arntsen

You might have blown the speaker. This happens when you play things too loudly and you ruin the speaker inside. You can test this by playing something with a decent amount of bass and turned up a bit. If you hear like a "rattle" in the sound or like something isn't right in the heavy bass notes, then you definitely blew the speaker out. This isn't a tragedy. They're fixable if you bring them to a place that repairs speakers. But I would definitely test it first by hooking it up and playing a loud song with a lot of bass. Hope that helps a little! Please rate my solution!

I have a couple active phobic loud speakers, one is completely out of commission and won't play anything. The other will play sound but only through the tweeter, while the speaker itself does nothing. I...

The tweeter is working but the woofer driver isn't which will change the impedance (ac resistance) of your amplifier output. The other speaker isn't working which will again, change the impedance even more. This could eventually damage the I.C. amps should you apply too much volume to the speakers.
You can turn the volume up to normal listening level and with your finger, slightly press the cone on the woofer in and out a couple of time. Does it engage in sound when you do this? If so, the woofer's coil is damaged and the woofer must be replaced. No sound? Open up the speaker (stereo off) and make sure both wires are fully secured to the woofer. Should they be attached securely, your woofer is probably defective. Should you have a crossover network, you can obtain a good, known working woof and temporarily wire it where the old woofer goes, turn on your stereo (minimal volume) which can verify the network pcb (crossover) is working.
