Panasonic lumix fh20 with photofunstudio 5.0 error message when camera is connected saying,

Error message reads, "Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you quit the application will close immediately." Then it tells me to go to the bottom of the dialogue box for instructions - "To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled. When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box. What is "unhandled?" Panasonic says my version of PhotoFunStudio is up to date. I made the mistake of opening something in Windows Media & using MS Internet Explorer once - is that the problem? I try not to use any MS anything on the web b/c it's just a virus/bug/rootkit/malware prone system.

SOURCE: PHOTOfunSTUDIO hang on PC

It may be an issue with the amount of processing power your computer has. You could try uninstalling the software and then re-installing it...sometimes that helps but, if your computer is under-powered, you may have to do without the program.

Why don't you just right-click on the photo and select e-mail. You can even choose the size of the picture to send without affecting your original.

Not sure whether this is a Q.
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this application or machine (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled. For example: <configuration> <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" /> </configuration> When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine rather than being handled by this dialog.
In VS the way to enable/disable that is: 1-On the "TOOLS" menu, click Options. 2-In the Options dialog box, select the Debugging folder. 3-In the Debugging folder, select the Just-In-Time page. 4-In the Enable Just-In-Time debugging of these types of code box, select or clear the relevant program types: Managed, Native, or Script. To disable Just-In-Time debugging, once it has been enabled, you must be running with Administrator privileges. Enabling Just-In-Time debugging sets a registry key, and Administrator privileges are required to change that key. 5-Click OK.
It has to be done by the developer and its his responsible to guide the application error reporting to the system event handlers. If this is an issue which occurs in a certain app, have to check for the .net version (specially in vista). Many 1.0 and 1.1 based apps give the problem. To install dotnet fw 1.1 on Vista will give an error. Most of the time caused by DEP (Data Execution Prevention). But the thing is some software forces the installation of .net framework (older versions). How ever Vista is packed with .net 3.0 and 2.0. Even if you allowed to install will not be able to uninstall 2.0 (possible to remove 3.0 though).
How to solve the installation issue: This issue is resolved in Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1, however you will need to use the following procedure to install both the .NET Framework and the Service Pack at the same time: Download Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable Package and Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 using links below: Dotnet Framework 1.1 Redest Dotnet Framework 1.1 SP1
Save both installations in the same directory Ensure that the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable Package is named dotnetfx.exe. If not, change its name to dotnetfx.exe. Ensure that Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 is named dotnetfxsp1.exe. If not, change its name to dotnetfxsp1.exe. Open command prompt as Administrator, and change to the directory where the two installations are saved. Run the following commands using the order shown below dotnetfx.exe /c:"msiexec.exe /a netfx.msi TARGETDIR=C:dotnet" dotnetfxsp1.exe /Xp:C:dotnet etfxsp.msp msiexec.exe /a c:dotnet etfx.msi /p c:dotnet etfxsp.msp Install both Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 and Service Pack 1 by running C:dotnet etfx.msi
The systems must be backed up before trying this specially the system state. How ever the keys can be repaid in a damage This thread will also be helpful http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2007/03/26/how-to-repair-the-net-framework-2-0-and-3-0-on-windows-vista.aspx...

May be. If you try installing version 9 and it tells you that you must uninstall any previous versions , then yes. Most updates will do this for you, so just look for the message at installation time.

I need a driver for mu Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH20

Do you really need a driver?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Memory card is locked, how do I unlock this?

Problems typically are pretty rare with Panasonic Lumix digital cameras. On those occasions where you do have an issue, though, look for an error message on the Panasonic camera for some clues as to how to fix the problem.
he seven tips listed here should help you troubleshoot your Panasonic camera error messages.
  1. Built-in Memory Error error message. If you see this error message with your Panasonic camera, the internal memory area of the camera is either full or corrupted. Try downloading photos from the internal memory. If the error message continues to appear, you may need to format the internal memory area.
  2. Memory Card Locked / Memory Card error message. Both of these error messages are related to the memory card, rather than the Panasonic camera. If you have an SD memory card, check the write protect switch on the side of the card. Slide the switch up to unlock the card. If the error message persists, it's possible the memory card is corrupted and needs to be formatted. It's also possible the memory card was formatted using another device that is not compatible with Panasonic's file structure system. Format the card with your Panasonic camera to fix the problem ... but keep in mind that formatting the card will erase any photos stored on it.
  3. No Additional Selections Can Be Made error message. If your Panasonic camera allows you to "save" photos as your "favorites," you may find this error message because the camera has a limited number of photos that can be labeled as favorites, usually 999 photos. You cannot mark another photo as a favorite until you remove the favorite label from one or more photos. This error message also may occur if you're trying to delete more than 999 photos at one time.
  4. No Valid Picture error message. This error message typically refers to a problem with the memory card. Most of the time, you'll find this error message when you try to play back images from the memory card and the memory card is corrupted, empty, broken, or has been formatted with another camera. To fix the memory card, you must format it, but formatting a memory card causes all photos stored on it to be lost. Try inserting the memory card in another device or in your computer and try downloading any photos stored on it before formatting it with your Panasonic camera.
  5. Please Turn Camera Off And Then On Again error message. At least this error message says "please." This error message most likely occurs when one of the parts of the camera's hardware is malfunctioning, usually a jammed lens housing. To try to fix this problem, start by turning the camera off for a few seconds before turning it back on. If this doesn't fix the problem, try resetting the camera by removing the battery and memory card from the camera for at least 10 minutes. Replace both items and then try turning the camera on again. If the lens housing is jamming as the lens moves through its zoom range, try gently cleaning the housing, removing any debris or grime. If all of these steps don't fix the problem, you'll probably need a repair center for the camera.
  6. This Battery Cannot Be Used error message. With this error message, you've either inserted a battery that's incompatible with your Panasonic camera or you've inserted a battery that has dirty contacts. Gently clean the metal contacts with a dry cloth. In addition, make sure the battery housing is free of debris. You sometimes may see this error message if you're using a battery that's not manufactured by Panasonic. If the third-party battery is working OK to power the camera, you probably can ignore this error message.
  7. This Picture Is Protected error message. You'll see this Panasonic camera error message when the photo you've selected has been protected from deletion. Try working through the camera's menus to figure out how to remove any protection labels for the photo files.
Keep in mind that different models of Lumix cameras may provide a different set of error messages than is shown here. If you are seeing Panasonic camera error messages that aren't listed here, check with the user guide for your model of Panasonic Lumix camera for a list of other error messages, or visit the Support area of the Panasonic Web site.
