Question about JVC AV-27230 27" TV

1 Answer

Audio/video problem This problem occurred one afternoon as soon as I turned the TV on, and it's been this way ever since. I've had the TV for years, and no warning signs led up to it. Depending on which of my TV's three video inputs I use, I have varying degrees of sound problems, and a slight video problem. Video-3 has no sound output whatsoever, Video-2 has a distinct buzziness in the sound output, and Video-1's sound is slightly buzzy. On all three inputs, the picture is unusually bright and overcolored--that's fixable by adjusting the settings, but I don't know what it might imply.

Re: Audio/video problem

ALWAYS connect and disconect the A / V cables when all units are unplugged from mains!!!!!!!! First: try to use quality cables and second: call the service for further investigations and repairs.

I have a (i think 20 inch) rca truflat tv and i can't find the channel for video and dvd. the manue didn't help and i don't have the guide"

Press menu on your remote. Press "4" for channel and "4" for video input source. In this menu, you can toggle between s-video and regular video (yellow plug) input. The disadvantage is, if you're like me and you've got a DVD player and and VCR (or maybe a video game system) all hooked up to the same TV, you've got to go through the menu and switch the inputs to watch something else. I'm happy with my digital audio cable; I'll deal with yellow-plug video.

My 2005 Model HT32744 Sanyo has cracking thunderus sounds periodically expecially in afternoon and early evening. Then works well until another time. Have had cable problems corrected by comcast before....

To check if its cable or circuit failure, try to fed your TV with audio from a dvd or cd player and observe it for a long time.If the still the problem occurs then the problem is in the your TV circuit. If not the problem is in your cable connection.

I have picture and no sound

Try unplugging it for a minute. You will have to go through setup again (most likely).
Some of these sets have a (software?) issue and the audio drops out maybe once or twice a year-at least that's what I've experienced. No real fix for it.

32 Sony Wega...Audio but no Video...Flashing Standby light

If the set is taking a long time to start, most likely something is failing. In this particular model, as the CRT ages and becomes weak, the set will be slow at starting. The electron-gun emission must reach specific emission specs before the AKG circuits allow it to be biased on.

Also with age, the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply and various drive circuits tend to go off value, and or become thermo sensitive.

You may want to start considering to invest in to a new TV set very soon.

1.Check audio/video RCA jack cables
2.check S-video(if you use S-video cables)
3.check with another dvd player to get normal picture on your tv system. if picture is normal in this process. then problem with your old dvd player.
4.if same problem occurs in other dvd player. then problem with your television. external audio/video processing circuits

Audio, but No video when connecting DVD player to TV

Try checking the AV cable. Just interchange the Audio and Video cables, and if now you get video, and no audio, problem is faulty cables. Replace.

No video/audio when TV is turned on..

This set is popular for the main voltage regulator to be bad. If you have a meter check the input voltage . it should be between 135 to 159 vdc. Now pin 4 should be aroud 125 to 130 when you switch the set on. Hope this helps Good Luck
